We’re joined by language entrepreneur Marcus Carter in this episode of LMScast where he shares how he has found success through his online course website teaching English to Spanish speakers. Marcus shares his story of teaching in-person classes to going online and marketing on platforms like TikTok.
 
Growing up in the UK, Spain is the place his family went on holiday, and that’s where Marcus ended up deciding to settle as an adult and where he met his wife. Marcus has worked as a teacher for many years teaching people of all ages language learning skills.
 
One of the largest obstacles he noticed was the different way students learn languages and the materials available to them at different levels. And that’s where he dove deep into language learning methodologies and how he could facilitate learning the fastest. He eventually developed his own language learning method that he currently teaches live on Zoom and in his online courses.
 
Marcus does a lot of marketing work on TikTok and Instagram Live. Getting TikTok users and Instagram users who are interested in learning English, he’s able to funnel them to his Telegram group where he markets his course offerings.
