Barba7us (pronounced Bar-bat-us) is a five piece American rock band from New York City. The band was formed in 2012 by guitarists Chris and Juan. The band currently includes Gabriel (vocals), Chris (guitar), Juan (guitar), Wendell (bass) and Mike (drums). The foursome has known each other since college and has played in various bands together prior to the formation of Barbatus. The name of the band refers to that primitive yet sagely essence of a man, the beard.  Their musical influences range from punk and pop to surf and garage rock.
