From the new album "Internal Noise", released 15.5.24 on hand-numbered, coloured vinyl and across digital platforms via Austerity Records.

The album was recorded at Bella Union's Brighton studio and produced by Jack Wolter. It features the vocal harmonies of Jack and Lily Wolter, both from the band Penelope Isles, while Jack also drums on the record.

Tidal Wave (Album Version)

Produced by The Vernon Spring (Sam Beste), Hard Down Low is a hymn to resilience and self-compassion. Written in the wake of the pandemic, it formed the first seed of Loa and has shaped their sound from its inception. A steady warmth emerges from the blend of Rick and Genevieve’s voices, while big-horizon production expands around them.


Loa pairs the intricate piano playing of Rick Leigh with the distinctive warmth of vocalist Genevieve Dawson and marks a new beginning in their musical partnership. As independent artists, they have worked alongside Denai Moore, Orlando Weeks, William Doyle and Anna B Savage.

Loa’s approach is both soulful and contemporary; bridging the space between Nils Frahm and Adrianne Lenker whilst calling upon a songwriting inheritance from Joni Mitchell to James Blake.
