In collaboration with Microsoft Studios for the release of the critically acclaimed game Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, drum and bass tastemakers Hospital Records is releasing an first ever exclusive and bespoke soundtrack for the game.

Featuring as an in-game radio station in a Forza Horizon game for the third time, Hospital Records now also presents 20 exclusive and original tracks produced solely for Forza Horizon 4. The in-game unlockable Hospital Records radio station is hosted by label co-founders Tony Colman (London Elektricity) and Chris Goss, with featured artists including Metrik, Fred V & Grafix, Etherwood, S.P.Y, Logistics, London Elektricity, Kings Of The Rollers and more, available exclusively in the ‘Forza Horizon 4: Hospital Soundtrack’.

Forza Horizon 4 is currently available in the Ultimate Edition and will be available worldwide on Oct. 2. The full soundtrack will be available digitally and on streaming platforms on the 26th of October, with 6 tracks being cut especially for a limited edition vinyl release.

Last year Julien ‘Redeyes’ Salvi showed off his versatility on his Blueprints EP. He now takes it one step further with the release of “Broken Soul”, his first full length project for The North Quarter. Through twelve sincere tracks, the Toulouse-based artist showcases an action-packed storyline co-starring some of the most sought-after vocalists in the game. Not only do Manchester legends DRS and Tyler Daley make appearances, but there are also features by fresh NQ signee Abnormal Sleepz, HMD, KinKai and Juga-Naut as well as NY underground Hip Hop phenomenon Milano Constantine. Rap, Soul and dusty Jazz flavour is woven through diverse tracks in both tempo and intensity. The Redeyes signature shines bright however, effortlessly capturing current aesthetics and eclecticism. Leading the way is Runaway, a hard hitting musical piece from Ravager which will wreak havoc upon dancefloors the world over. 
Blissful keys harmonise with vocal snippets to build the intro, giving that feel good vibe before exploding into hard, ferocious drums & rumbling sub baselines on the drop.

The B side sees Livewire work his magic and he gives Runaway a twist of his own.

Livewire wraps up this 3 track release to perfection with the likes of Fear The Future. Catchy melodies, funky rhythms and gritty baselines ensure massive dancefloor vibes penetrate the speaker wherever this track is played.

Ever since the then mysterious Beatles Bootleg tore up Wembley Stadium, everybody knows the name Urbandawn. His anthem ‘Come Together’ dominated 2019 and went on to win the Drum & Bass Arena Award for ‘Best Track’. Now heralded within the drum & bass world for his razor-sharp sound design and distinctive calling card of top-shelf crunch throughout his releases, Urbandawn revisits a vocal powerhouse classic from his first album ‘Gothenburg Cluster’ on his latest single ‘Together Again (I Pray)’.

Boasting all the trademark trimmings you’d expect to find, ‘Together Again (I Pray)’ is a graceful yet powerful rework. Building on the emotive nature of the original, this 2020 edition is complete with smooth atmospherics and the original’s hair-raising vocal for a glorious melodic rush before roaring into heavyweight synthwork.

Originally trained in classical and Brazilian popular music playing guitar, bass and drums as well as graduating in Audio Engineering from IAV, Urbandawn’s varied influences and extensive training clearly contribute to his technically masterful productions.

Garnering respect far and wide throughout the drum & bass community for his first class ability in the studio, his infamous ‘Come Together’ rework has seen official features on BBC Radio 1 shows from MistaJam and High Contrast. Regularly championed by the likes of Andy C, Noisia, London Elektricity, Friction, DJ Marky and more, Urbandawn continues to take the world by storm.

‘Take You Higher’… it’s a promise all DJs make each and every time they set foot behind the decks. No matter what genre, style or flavour, the dark art of elevation is THE core premise of all electronic music. It’s the holy grail of dancefloor science… And Wilkinson has been studying it for years.

Living up to his promise, ‘Take You Higher’ is an instant turbo boost for all corners of the dance. Igniting with a half step so emotive you can imagine a boxer walking down to the ring to its hype-fuelled strut, we’re soon dropped into a climactic synth hook, quintessential rave vocal and surging well-bodied power-bass. 

So sharp it can shave a man from fifty paces, so euphoric it can instigate a spine-tingle from fifty miles, ‘Take You Higher’ is soaked in undiluted drama that’s specifically designed to drive your crowd well beyond the all-important ‘next level’.  

Always keen to paint a full picture across his releases, Wilkinson’s also served up ‘Crunch’. A darker, more driving slab of drum & bass, ‘Crunch’ thrusts with a sneering, searing bassline and just the perfect amount of synth-aided uplift. Armed with one of the most electric build ups he’s done to date, it’s yet another example of Wilkinson’s ability to take the dancefloor to places so high they didn’t even know they existed. 

Both ‘Take You Higher’ and ‘Crunch’ act as a promising tease for Wilkinson’s forthcoming debut album. Due for release later this year, it’s set to showcase the rich vein of form the young producer is hitting at the moment. And there’s more…  

Proof, if it’s needed, that the art of taking you higher is essential in all genres, Ram Records have complemented Wilkinson’s breath-taking original with two spectacular remixes. First up, the fast-rising future bass merchant Jakwob:  fusing the finest aspects of garage and underground house, he’s dropped the tempo but paid maximum respect to the theatrical character of the original. With a crisp array of infectious percussive elements and the perfect dosage of minor-key sobriety, it’s fuelled by so much emotion it might just take you too high! 

Next up: Foamo. With a repertoire that includes on-point house labels such as Moda and Skint, he’s been fuelling generation bass with unpredictable slices of dancefloor dynamite since 2008. Lounging in low-end luxury, his debut remix for Ram Records pays homage to years of London house heritage; shuffling with a gorgeous chugging groove and a slight nod to the deeper shades of speed garage movement, like the original, this will sing to many different DJs… Each one of them looking to live up to their promise: taking you higher!
