An excerpt from Nathalie Joachim's score for LAND BRIDGE, a new evening-length work by choreographer Helen Simoneau.  The piece investigates heritage, assimilation and identity to reveal how the willing erasure of the self may serve as a means of renewal and redirection. This work premiered at the Hanesbrand Theatre in Winston-Salem, NC, March 3-5, 2016.  The musical collaboration was made possible with funding from New Music USA.  

Composed, performed and recorded by Nathalie Joachim. Mixed by Tony Maimone of Studio G Brooklyn, assisted by Richard Salino and mastered by Fred Kevorkian.

maybe 30 drafts of this were done with the same vinyl over the years?  An embarrassing testament to my perfectionism, smh.  For better or for worse I'm posting this one. There is HEAT on this mix if I do say so myself.  1 hour of vocal deep house.  I'm such a fan of all of these singers and producers.
