Forma też jest brzydka, ale ostatnio wszystko wydaje się brzydkie. Jesień jest brzydka, skóra jest brzydka, oczy są brzydkie. Przeszłość jest brzydka, teraźniejszość jest brzydka, ale przyszłość  za to będzie ładna. Ten utwór miał zniknąć gdzieś w przepaści, jeśli nie w szufladzie to przynajmniej na końcu jakiejś składanki. A jednak polubiłem go za bardzo, żeby go ukrywać. Stąd też nazwa Main Track...

Sometimes ugly things can evoke beautiful emotions in us. “Main Track” is my ugly track about ugly things, a way for me not to think ugly thoughts. The form is ugly too, but lately everything seems ugly. Autumn is ugly, skin is ugly, eyes are ugly. The past is ugly, the present is ugly, but the future will be beautiful. This track was supposed to disappear into the void, if not in a drawer, then at least at the end of some compilation. Yet I ended up liking it too much to hide it. Hence the name Main Track…

Mictlán is a conceptual album through genres and interpretations of 18 artists about the underworld according to the mythology and pre-Hispanic worldview of the Aztecs.

Mictlán is the underworld and part of the vertical universe, created by the pair of sovereign gods of the dead. Its nine levels represent the journey of a god every night in the fauces of the lords of the Earth.

Tepeme Monamictlán is the second of the nine levels and residence of Tepeyóllotl (god of mountains, echoes and jaguar). This is the region where two mountains collide, producing echoes as a signal to the dead to cross to the next level.

This track came alive through a moment of exploring west-african desert blues guitar combined with producing an abstract, pulsing world beat while pondering life in the garden of my home in Berlin. Months later, while traveling through the sacred valley of Peru on a journey with cactus medicine, my brother Dawid passed me samples of a recording of the Mwami tribe (meaning King Shepherd) and royal drums from Rwanda whose cultural music and identity has disappeared since the republic was formed in 1961. These samples I have mixed with my production and guitar playing to give it an otherworldly feel. I believe in the idea of carrying cultural heritage through the medium of sound and production thus giving new life to ancient tradition and merging the old with a new artistic vision.

"Yohana"  is a journey into the shadows of the jungle. The sound of these songs are heavily influenced from my first experience with Abuela Aya, where she came to me, in my mind and body, in the form of a serpent. She spoke to me, showed me her power, her essence, I felt her movement and heard her sound, and I connected deeply with her spirit.  I saw the shadow world that exists parallel to our reality everywhere, I learned that the energy of the shadows cannot be defined as good or bad but have their own unique power and influence on us.

"Camino Lejos" is a prayer to the spirit of the Abuela, a transcendental, tribal song, calling in visions from the space beyond what we know.
