Two of UK house music’s finest join forces on ‘ZP Dub’ / ‘Porta Time’, a new two-track single out today on Local Action.

Both T and Bashmore’s histories are interlocked: they were both part of the underground’s infiltration of pop music that was such a big part of dance music’s story in the early 2010s, touring the world and becoming globally-recognised names while working with the likes of Jessie Ware and Disclosure, and they also run the vinyl-focused Conch label, releasing a series of excellent 12”s in the late 2010s.

On ‘ZP Dub’, they draw from their mutual love of loopy French house and minimal dance floor dynamics, mixed live on the desk at Casa del Bash, while ‘Porta Time’ - which actually dates back to 2017 - is a UK Funky epic driven by springy drums and big keys. As with much of T and Bashmore’s best material, it’s the perfect example of doing a lot with a little, making sure every channel counts. Not an inch of fat on these two.

‘ZP Dub’ / ‘Porta Time’ follows this year’s Bashmore comeback single ‘Bubblin’ (one of Pitchfork’s Songs of the Summer, and a favourite in recent sets by Overmono, Ahadadream, Kornel Kovacs and more) and acclaimed recent T. Williams releases on Strictly Rhythm, Defected and Purple City. It also marks T. Williams’ return to Local Action after inaugurating the label way back in 2010, and releasing four of the label’s first releases back in its formative years, including the classic ‘Heartbeat’.

We’re over the moon to present Spa Commissions, a new mini-LP by Yamaneko.

Since breaking through with 2014’s debut album Pixel Wave Embrace, Yama has been one of the key electronic artists combining electronic music with ambient – with a fragile sound equally inspired by grime, new age cassette music, video game soundtracks and techno.

Despite being his first release, Pixel Wave Embrace became a cult classic – quietly but notably influential on the artists around him and further afield. Yama has continued to spread his influence since, soundtracking an advert by Supreme, providing the music for a short film by Oliver Payne (work shown at MoMA, The Serpentine, The Tate, Whitechapel Gallery and more) and teaming up with Mr. Mitch as Yaroze Dream Suite. He’s become a key part of this label, performing at both our recent Boiler Rooms and most of our shows – we couldn’t picture Local Action without him. Last year we released his second album, the colder, less inviting Project Nautilus.

Earlier this year, Yama was commissioned to create music for a spa in Europe. These commissions eventually developed into a full album’s worth of material, collected and fleshed out here to create his most blissful, beatless record to date.

Jeigo follows up his recent outing on Air Miles’ inaugural release with a second EP, this time featuring one original and a trio of fine remixes. While Jeigo delivers another round of emotional breaks, Urulu turns Jeigo’s original into late-night business, pairing rolling bass-lines with deep, dubby synths. Ex-Terrestrial’s remix is another club-focused flip of the original, 5 minutes of merciless build-up, followed by a trance-infused eruption, sirens blazing through the whole affair. Finally, Tom VR comes in with his own characteristic take on the original, a beautiful blend of ambient UKG, with meticulous production and stunning sound design.

Today we have the pleasure of premiering Jeigo’s original, which yet again brings together all the elements that made AM001 such a treat. Airy pads, vocals doused in reverb, and chords that tug on your heart strings all wrapped up in a haze, with breaks sharp enough to cut through it like a knife. A true treat for the ears and the soul alike.



Air Miles and Jeigo return for a second installment, with some brilliant remixes for additional flavour. A versatile EP with cuts suited for peak party-time, the after-party and the hungover Sunday alike.
