Following the same pattern as its initial two releases, Where Were We is back with EP004 in a shape of a remix pack: retaining two remixers from the previous pack and introducing two new names on the bill. Both Hong Kong via Nantes Romain FX and Vilnius italo adept Black Feeling delivered massive remixes in the first pack and boy they don't disappoint yet again. Romain has totally reworked the track and infused it with exotic oriental sounds and Black Feeling hits all the marks once again with his signature feel-good italo house vibes.
Since Blaise Balda has already released one EP on Rees' Paradiso Records, it was natural to ask Adam for a remix. Middlesbrough talent shines agent hitting all the right notes and keeping the vibe joyous and the energy pure.
Last but not least are Berlin's italo duo Sauvage World from Slow Motion/Wrong Era fame. Guys are raising the tempo up to 125, tweaking a few bits here and there and adding just a little bit extra of their own magic to make it sound like a proper italo banger for not-so-wrong era we all find ourselves in.

INCOMING : Silicodisco – No Body (Freudenthal Remix) #Oberwave

The still young but already respected French label Critical Monday is back for the Chapter 12 of its beautiful story. The Bonnie Spacey’s imprint’s first EP of the year features hot Austrian producer Yöurr, who made his debut on Critical last December on its “Various Artists #2” compilation and has amassed a solid string of originals and collaborations released on vital labels such as Secret Fusion, Voltaire Music, Earthly Delights, and WAYU, just to name a few. The Chapter 12 brings also a seminal remix signed by none other than the unstoppable Greco-German couple Vamparela and Brax Moody aka Local Suicide.

Premiered here, the remix brought the minimalistic and retro-futuristic aura of “Double Grab” to a fidgetier and more frolic realm. The first thing Vamp & Max must have thought when started working on the track was “we need more cowbell!”, and from there, the sky was the limit. The fatter and funkier bassline plus the extra dose of synth leads and percussive elements resulted in another proper Indie Dance cut by the beloved by all duo.

PREMIERE314 // Yöurr - Double Grab (Local Suicide Remix)

Trampoliner (@trampolinersthlm) are proud to present the french power duo Kimshies (@kimshies). Peo Watson and Bijou Williams have known each other for more than 20 years now. In 2004, they produced "Chicago 72" together, releasing it on vinyl only. 500 copies went through different record stores and were being passed around until May 2018 when the public discovered it during Solomun's ‘Cercle' session in the magnificent Théâtre Antique d'Orange. The exposure & irony of the history pushed Peo & Bijou to return to the studio once more, and by the looks of it, they are here to stay. Having already had releases on renowned labels such as Nein, Aeon and Duro to name a few.

On TRAMPA009 they pick up where they last left off, with two proper Kimshies-style tracks to please any dancefloor. Teaming up with their countrymen and respected duo You Man for the title- and first track, turning it into a proper dancefloor blockbuster. The second track is no exception, letting their unique grunge-vibe shine through once again, leaving the listener longing for more. To complete this release, we have no other than Vilnius finest Roe Deers and Mexican sensation Mufti (@muftimx) on remix duties.

To celebrate the end of the world, Umwelt and Traumstadt push Gwendoline even further into the dark.
Gwendoline, the rising French -futur star- cold wave band, characterized by their WTF lyrics, received two great remixes of their must have LP “Après c'est gobelet” (in english : then it’s cup).
First, Traumstadt with this amazing progressive remix of the track “Voldebière”, a deep krautrock version that makes think about the Soulwax’ work in a more underground way. Then it's time for UMWELT, guarantor of rave essence and dark sounds to give a danceable version of the track “La Fin Du Monde”, the forthcoming closing track of all the warehouse parties & raves.

Pinkman welcomes Pablo Bozzi to the label with a debut mini-LP "Street Reign". Berlin based power duo Local Suicide announce their long-awaited debut album ‘Eros Anikate’ released on their label Iptamenos Discos on May 13th, 2022. The title translates to ‘love invincible’ and draws influence from Sophocles’ play, ‘Antigone’ - an ancient Greek play based around tragedy in the aftermath of a civil war. ‘Eros Anikate’ will showcase the duo's renowned ‘technodisco’ sound, blending retro with modern elements, alongside moody baselines and haunting vocals, whilst featuring an array of exciting collaborators and friends including Curses, Hard Ton, Skelesys, Lee Stevens, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Theus Mago, Kalipo, and Greek new wave legend Lena Platonos. 

 ‘Moustache’ , the third single taken from the album is a collaboration of Local Suicide with their longtime collaborator and friend, Buenos Aires native Skelesys. Sharing a love for the darker sounds you’d find in horror films and computer simulations, the 4/4 kick drum and woodwind like sounds manipulated into a frenzy bring us a rather interesting juxtaposition of playful horror.  

“This one started off as a hymn to Dali, but ended up being a love letter to a dude with a ‘stache”.  

While the track crescendos into an ominous buildup of synths that continue to mesmerise you, the famous Vamparela vocals are the perfect surrealist playground that Dali himself would be proud of. Contrasting the playful with the serious, this track is the perfect oxymoron with post-punk and EBM madness, of which we’d expect nothing less from the two acts coming together.  

‘Eros Anikate’ will be released on Vinyl, CD and digitally on Iptamenos Discos on 13th May 2022.

Long-time collaborators Terr & Daniel Watts link up for two superb tunes that get remixed by Queer on Acid and Mala Ika. Clash Lion co-founders Terr and Daniel Watts have been collaborating for more than a decade. Terr can do everything from epic dance floor tunes to romantic breakbeats to fresh electro. She has a fruitful relationship with Phantasy Records as well as having released on Correspondant and Hotflush. Meanwhile, Watts was part of the electro duo Digitaria alongside Terr and is now a solo artist with credits on Permanent Vacation and a desire to push himself into new musical realms. This new track is a result of one of their latest jam sessions, refined in both Barcelona and Berlin. Say the pair, "We love the track's name, 'Bring the Future', meaning that we need the future and we need it now, because the past is not enough anymore, and we need a new way to look and deal with things and people, with more social justice, freedom and love."

PREMIERE | Terr & Daniel Watts - Clairvoyant [Clash Lion] 2022

The history of the DJ & producer duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back over a decade to the year 2008. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. Local Suicide’s distinctive sound, is an energetic fusion of new wave, EBM, post disco and dark techno that they themselves have given the name technodisco, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene.

Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States.

With solo & collaborative releases with Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys, Franz Matthews & more on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Multi Culti, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, Ransom Note & TAU the duo had numerous releases reaching the top 10 iTunes, Beatport & Juno charts and had massive editorial playlist support by Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and Deezer.
