La'Dell is the Brooklyn-born artist bringing a heady fusion of organic, melodic and ethno house. His cultured sounds often climb high in Beatport charts and he now plays all over the world.
MaBeToNi is a serenely deep and dubby cut with twinkling piano keys ringing out into the night, then Mwanzo rides a stuttering broken beat. A gorgeous vocal soars up top next to the subtle percussion and smoky spoken words help cast a spell. Rapport then ups the energy with a nimble groove that heads into a cosmic late night with more authentic Afro vocals and rolling drums and percussion.

We've reached mix number 13 in our Local Talk series "Introducing".  This time it's Richard Peace aka Peacey. This fine DJ, producer and radio host has taken upon himself to remix one of the big, big tracks on Local Talk released last year, "Fox Tooth". It will be released very, very soon -  Is it good? Hell yes, are we happy to have him onboard - you bet!  

We asked Peacey to, in a few sentences, give us a little bio and this is what he had to say :: 

"Peacey has always had an in-depth fascination with music and technology from a very early age and was fortunate enough to be born into a fairly musical oriented family…. At the age of 6 he helped is uncle build his first custom sound system in his grandma’s garage and found him self induced in the world of 70’s & 80’s dub / soul / funk & electronic music. From the time he arrived in one of his final settling places in the east midlands Peacey surrounded himself with musical talent, which allowed him to shape his craft in DJ’ing and lead onto DJ’ing and residencies within some of Derby’s legendary UK Garage and House nights. Through working with influential people throughout the late 90’s and early 00’s he started learning how to turn musical ideas into tracks via Re-edits and re-working his favorite music into his own versions to play out where he was able to mold his signature style. Through musical mentoring with long time friend Martin Iveson (Atjazz), He started to gain confidence, strengthening his style, which eventually lead onto spreading his wings onto one of music’s prestigious and innovative record labels Atjazz Record Company. Peacey has started to gain respect within the underground music family and is working on a string of releases & remixes for ARCo and other labels such as the mighty Local Talk with his up and coming remix of Atjazz’s Foxtooth. He is also the proud executive producer and host of the ARCo Radio show on Mi-Soul London which is going from strength to strength. Peacey is due to release his debut album with partner in crime Craig Smith (6th Borough Project) late 2016. A Solid DJ and a perfectionist in his craft, Peacey continues to fill dance floors today, that’s a given!"

LARS BEHRENROTH guest mix for Selective Styles - 5FM, South Africa Feb 12th 2017

Made up of a deep and voluminous array of remixes, alternative versions and DJ-friendly dubs, 'Re-Vibrations' is Good Vibrations Music's most ambitious release to date. Originally released as a highly limited vinyl double-pack to celebrate Record Store Day 2019, 'Re-Vibrations' is now available in an expanded digital download package featuring additional, previously unheard mixes by Karizma (as Kaytronik), IG Culture, QB Smith and Sean McCabe. 

Sean McCabe: "The story behind how the mix came about was that IG was inspired by the widely loved Frankie Feliciano's remix on "I Know Someone" which came out in May this year, of which he initially did a re-edit using Frankie's keyapella and beats. IG chopped up Frankie's beats into a broken beat style on this version while layering the keyapella over it. IG messaged me on Instagram to let me know he'd done this version (This was the first time we'd ever spoken). I was feeling it instantly and so was Frankie. I asked him if he wanted to do a proper remix if Frankie could send him the stems, so some of the pads and keys you hear in the background came from Frankie's version and the original. This was a last minute addition to the comp, which IG turned around in just a few weeks and I'm very glad that he wanted to be a part of the project."

This mix was made with the intention of letting go. After 4 years of turmoil and uncertainty in the US, we finally felt able to breathe again. With the appointment of our new President Elect here in the states, there was a palpable energy shift in the air, an electric buzz in the streets of NYC and it was inspiring. Touch of Love 003 is a mix made to just close your eyes, breathe and let go of your cares, get lost in the music because for the first time in a long time, I feel hope again.
