This one is my first new mix in over a year and a half; it's dedicated to what has become my favourite musical space: expansive, melodic, spacious and weighty dubwise/dubtechno music. Starting at around 112 bpm and ending at 160 over the course of almost 2 and a half hours, this is a mix I'd been meaning to put together for some time now and I'm so happy to share it now. As always, listen on some quality speakers or headphones; this sort of music especially benefits from proper low end as you know.

Recorded in Serato on two Technics 1200s, a Rane 72MKII and with live dubbing on a Benidub dub siren and Roland space echo pedal.

Locked Concept’s first release of the year comes from Tellus and Uneven, featuring a superb guest appearance from Elusive Elements and a remix by Akuratyde.

The opening and title track, Last Minute, is a true contribution to the autonomic sound—familiar territory for both Tellus and Uneven.

Elusive Elements steps up to join Uneven on Aestivation, keeping things half-time, moody, and deeply rooted in the autonomic style. This beautifully crafted piece builds slowly, leading into an emotive second drop.

Tellus returns alongside Uneven for Tidal Reveries, this time slowing the tempo. While this track differs in BPM from the rest of the EP, it maintains the signature sonics both Tellus and Uneven are known for across their catalogues.

Akuratyde’s remix of Moving On by Tellus closes out the EP. Staying true to the essence of the original, Akuratyde lifts the BPM from 130 to 170 and adds some groovy breaks for good measure.

Tellus and Uneven’s sound and production continue to evolve and expand beyond genre, and it’s unlikely this will be the last time we see these two innovative producers collaborating.

Danila 8 Om represents Vladimir and is an important participant of the local promo Dubkey Vibrations, which has been providing the Vladimir region with dub and selected electronics for 16 years.

"Synthesizers, samplers, grooveboxes and once again synthesizers - this is the live electronic project 8Ω. Experiments with styles and instruments since 2006. Without being tied to genres, the project's creativity extends from drone and dark ambient to digital dub, lo-fi techno and idm. Thoughtful and simple, sharp and assertive, the project's music is in constant contact with the dance floor, be it a dusty club or a forest glade."

On this track, the musician explores landscapes at the junction of bass music at 140 beats with the aesthetics of dub techno and IDM, getting the beautiful braindance tune at the output.

Change Wind

Eusebeia returns with Compiled Vol. 2, his second compilation for Modern Conveniences. The album assembles his acclaimed Reorientation EP and The Golden Rule EP along with 4 brand new tracks. Eusebeia and Akuratyde team up once again for the enthralling journey of “Fruition”, while “Predetermination” and “The Strength + Courage To Persevere” captivate the listener and create cohesion between the older and newer material. 

Compiled Vol. 2 is available worldwide on June 6th.

Всегда ли мы знаем, в каком направлении нужно двигаться? Древнеримскому философу-стоику Сенеке приписывают авторство выражения «Нет попутного ветра для корабля, который не знает, куда плывёт». Однако у лирического героя своё видение идеи пути: иногда для перемен достаточно покинуть место, где ты находишься сейчас («потерял бэкграунд»), а дальше:

«К маяку на своей лодке
С ответами в парусах
Мы по бурям сквозь вопросы
По простыням к полюсам»

Пожалуй, это самый лиричный трек на релизе. Мечтательный саунд с гипнотичным барабанным ритмом (roller) и обволакивающим басом. Трек качает слушателя на тёплых волнах, трогая за живое грувом и лирикой: «Нам так важно всем начать, надо верить, любить и плыть». Этот трек завоевал сердца дабрецов с первых танцев, где он прозвучал.
