We made it to Episode 2. We welcome Matt Dilts-Williams, producer and distributor with North East Ohio Phantom Pain Films discussing his latest theatrical release "Skinless" a great horror film.  We also dive into CIFF (Cleveland International Film Festival 2014) and specific upcoming films screening at the festival. In particular we'd love to see: Antartica, Awful Nice, A Birder's Guide to Everything. We wrapped up by remembering second AC Sarah Jones who passed away trajically last month on the feature film, "Midnight Rider".

Lock it Up :: Episode 2

Podcast 3:  Recording from downtown, on location in Tower City at the CIFF, Cleveland International Film Festival we discuss a myriad of topics. Carol, the new film happening in Cincinnatti starring Cate Blanchette, Rooney Mara, Sarah Paulson, Kyle Chandler.  CIFF in action, films now being screened at the Hanna Theatre, Valley View, Cedar Lee, etc.  The SAX Man, a local documentary is the highlight at the Hanna. Matthew Shephard is A Friend Of Mine is screening next week (March 29th) with the Shephard family in attendance.  We dive into a quick discussion of 12 Years A Slave (lensed by Sean Bobbitt) and Mike's nomination in Scene Magazine for Best Local Filmmaker. 

Lock it Up :: Episode 3

Mike Wendt and Tiffany Laufer return from a 2 year hiatus - having worked on a myriad of hollywood films (from Cincinnatti to Cleveland).  Picking up with highlights from working on the films My Blind Brother, The Land, Charnel House, The Tank and Carol.  Mike discusses his first job as a locations Manager and getting to know film Director Paul Schrader. In between location scouts for his new film Dog Eat Dog (with Nicholas Cage and Willam Dafoe) Mike heard stories from Paul of his life in film. Tiffany talks about the excitement in working with such a variety of actors and not knowing who Nick Kroll was - and googling him to find out they both are Georgetown Hoyas. Enjoy. 

Lock it Up :: Episode 4

We dive into discussion on the passing on of two ledgends, musician and artist David Bowie and actor and director Alan Rickman.  Covering broad strokes of thought concerning the oscars lack of diversity this year in Best Picture nod and some thoughts on Beasts of No Nation and Creed.  Tiffany talks abit about her short film The Acorn Penny and films about Africa in the big picture.  We diverge into understanding who the 'Academy' is and how one gets invited to apply for membership. 

Lock it Up :: Episode 5

Tiffany and Mike discuss their two short films, CART and Good Bye,Ohio and their World Premiere screenings at the 40th Cleveland International Film Festival happening March 30th through April 10th. 

Mike talks about directing his short film, Good Bye,Ohio written by actress Jessy Leigh.  Tiffany talks about the unique position how as a DP, she gets to see the performances up close from the beginning. 

Tiffany discusses her short films and how all three of them have themes of magical realism and how that’s a huge factor in her work. 

Good Bye, Ohio screens April 6th in the Ohio Shorts Programs 2 at 9:35pm;  CART screens April 7th in the Ohio Shorts Program 3 at 9:35pm
