"Since his first release in 2015 COPYCATT has quickly gained a cult following as an up and comer among the bass music community. COPYCATT’s potent signature cocktail of chunky neuro bass riffs and loose Dilla-Era hip hop grooves has put him on the forefront of the next wave of bass music, attracting the support of artists such as, Pretty Lights, Haywyre and Kill Paris. COPYCATT has also taken out 1st prize in a handful of competitions, including a remix competition hosted by Australia’s most popular nationwide radio broadcast, Triple J, which landed him airtime on the platform and time at the Triple J office in Sydney. His catalogue features releases with respected bass music labels such as Inspected (UK), Upscale (US), LA90 (US) and Night Owl Collective (US), and includes collaborations with Holly, Frequent, Mr. Bill, and UK-based rapper Maksim. At 26 years of age, the young Australian producer has shown promising evidence of a budding bass music legend."

Super excited to welcome Sentient with his powerful debut Blank Aperture, a five-track EP that masterfully blends bass music influences with grey area aesthetics. Through distorted yet juicy textures, razor-sharp rhythms, and deep, driving grooves, Sentient crafts a soundscape that is as dystopian as it is captivating.
The title track ‘Blank Aperture’ opens with gritty halftime grooves and meticulously crafted distortion, building an atmosphere thick with tension. ‘Repeater’ warps perceptions with its polymetric structures and rhythmical shifts, while ‘Void Treader’ explores stark minimalism, each element painstakingly placed. ‘Frayed End’, a collaboration with Kahter, shifts the energy to full-throttle bass music with smacking percussion and earth-shaking basslines.
Closing the release, ‘Spiral Realm’ plunges into abstract ambient territory, with metallic drones, stretched breaks, and heavy bass surges evoking a bleak, dystopian horizon.

London-based dubstep and experimental bass music producer & DJ, Sentient, has carved himself a niche in bass music with crushing, genre-spanning soundscapes, moving fluidly between various styles of sound. Inspired by horror game soundtracks with heavy, crushing atmospheres, and his love of classical and hardcore music, Sentient’s distinctive sound fuses these influences resulting in a mesmerising blend of gloomy and oppressive sonic landscapes that aim to challenge the norm.
