You might recognise this as the theme to Salad Fingers 10 - it is also the intro to my new album, which isn't quite finished and hasn't got a name yet, and neither have you. Downloads are not available yet because I think I might still tweak this a bit before putting it out.

Shapeless

This one is a bit fuzzy and happy. It's got a few twangly bits of guitars with the pulsing fuzzy psychedelic things and my voice layer up so it sounds like a choir. Not sure why I am describing it, you can probably hear it. I have an album coming soon called Stringland. It's just about finished but I'm making the art at the moment. 

The Lizard Morgue

This is probably the poppiest track on the album. It is fairly simple and short. I had a dream where I had lost my bag in some shopping centre that had become a warzone. There were soldiers and rebels shooting each other and conflict everywhere.  I wanted to get out of there but I had lost my bag. I was searching through this big pile of bags to find mine. At the same time some children were searching the same pile of bags for their friend - who they referred to as "The Rain Captain". They were shouting his name in my dream.

This one is like a mysterious dark woodland to me. I also think of an old clock for some reason. Whatever it is, I get dark oak wood. Shut your eyes and tell me the images you see.

I lost a load of music when my hard drive made a burning smell. Some of it is completely gone forever, some of it exists in small demos and some I have rebuilt from scraps that remained on hard drives. This track falls into none of these categories. Following the loss of music I thought maybe instead of getting down about it, I could just make some new stuff that's better. I should make more music.

Drufloc

This is more lost pop. Rebuilt from a Noon loop that never made it into a full track, until now. This is the sort of sound I like. I should make more stuff like this.

This was made mainly with my guitar. It is in 7-4 time signature. It was used for both my Health Reminder and Take This Pill cartoons. When I made it, I got a nostalgic feeling from when I used to live in Hull in 2005. The nostalgia was cold and I felt a little distant. 2005 seems like a strange alien time that I never really existed in. If I could visit any part of my life again it would be 2005. I wouldn't stay for very long though. This version ends a little abruptly. I don't know if the album version is the same, I don't have it to hand. This is from the album INKBRUSH

A different approach to "Everybody Comes Out The Floor". At one stage I felt that a song would develop and change shape until recorded, when at which point it was set in stone and would remain like that - then I discovered that was the perfect way to get bored of my own songs so now I continue to develop them and here is an example.

This is probably the catchiest song I have ever recorded. It's pure pop.
