German artist Ruede Hagelstein lands on the Do Not Sit on the Furniture label with three suitably moving and emotive deep house tunes. 

Hagelstein became a resident DJ at Watergate, one of Berlin's most popular clubs, and has released on the club's own label as well as Bedrock and Souvenir. This summer he has played with the Do Not Sit crew and now comes correct with this latest EP. 

Opener Dort is a lush deep house cut with thoughtful chords and intimate lyrics that make it all the more absorbing as it rolls on and sinks you into a reverie. Drueben is made with Justin Evans and has wispy chords and rubbery, rolling drums that are warm and atmospheric and encourage you to empty your mind of all thoughts. Gestern is the tender closer with more humid pads, twinkling keys and the distant sound of church bells all making for a heart achingly gorgeous mood and groove. 

This is an emotionally stirring EP that fits in perfectly with the Do Not Sit ethos.

Second release, secondo lap, for the brand-new label Saturn Return. The coproduction between Robbie Akbal and Rowee fills the dance floors with dramatic melodies.
The lead synth seems to be perpetually shape-shifting, the overall mood is tense, powered by loops thick with bass and intensely hypnotic that you could listen to for hours.
After 3 minutes of straight clubbing, a ray of light enters with the voice of KnowKontrol, breaking the rules with soaring vocals like only he can.
It’s a fusion between the melancholy and the hopeful. Its deep reassuring embrace is hard to resist.

This kind of technique can cause dance floors to erupt. It’s unconventional dance music.

Dance Spirit signs the first remix of the label. The original's swung groove is replaced by a faster and straighter rhythm.
The clanging melody is amplified by a loud wall of bright pads, stabs full of touching tones and melodies that burrow into your brain. It will certainly get dance floors moving, opting for a heads-down vibe which splices jacking beats with twisted passages of psychedelic tones.
