With “4th Of The Punks”, Light Blue File crafts a track that feels like both an homage and an evolution - a future-facing nod to the golden era of French Touch, refracted through the gritty, underground lens of Distrikt Paris. It’s the standout moment on his Fourth Of The Punks EP: an Electro-House hybrid charged with funk, attitude, and an unmistakable pulse that bridges nostalgia and innovation.

The track launches with a strutting groove - chunky bassline, crisp percussion, and an ever-so-slight Acid sizzle that coils around the rhythm. But it’s the robotic vocal - “Music sounds much better with you” - that seals its mischievous charm, a wink to Daft Punk’s enduring influence without slipping into imitation. Instead, Light Blue File distills that inspiration into something rawer, rougher, and more human in its imperfections.

Every element feels engineered for motion: the way the acid bleeps flutter against the funk-infused low end, the shuffling swing of the drums, the slow build of euphoria that never tips into excess. “4th Of The Punks” doesn’t explode - it locks in, hypnotizing dancers through groove repetition and sleek modulation rather than obvious peaks.

'Diego Krause returns to his FORAX fold with the 8th injection of his self-releasing imprint. A strong and respected figure in Berlin and the European circuit, Krause has been pumping out weapons for over ten years and featured heavyweight EP’s with the likes of BERG Audio, Constant Sound, Mulen and Beste Modus; always true to his style and firmly a name synonymous with tech-house in the Berlin underground. Recently though, Krause has deviated away from independent labels and launched his FORAX imprint, operating as a platform to channel all of his energy into his own creative worx’ and for each EP to act as a marker in his evolution as an artist.

‘Silos (03) is a slick and stompy tech-house hammer, firm and authoritative with the bit between its teeth. It wastes no time in stamping down its presence with a fierce intro, announcing its rapturous intentions from the start with the gnarling bass waiting to be unleashed. Serrated drum-play adds to the tuff exterior of the track, whilst peculiar percs and sequences generate just the right amount of intricate mystery to the groove. Krause knows exactly how to control a dance-floor and this is kind of bomb track he’ll pull from no where to send the D-floor into a heightened frenzy of headz-down acrobatics........... Manchester's Do As You Please label continue their forward momentum with Zac Stanton's 'You Might Like It' EP, dropping December 5th. The three-track release sees Stanton exploring the tension between UK rave’s signature pull and house music's euphoric release - finding something fresh and gritty in the space between.

'Still Havin'', 'Touch Me', and the title track each take their own route, touching on classic UK bleep, jungle and acid influence. Stanton's production is precise without being clinical and playful without losing impact. These are tracks built for function but with enough personality to stick around after the night ends.

A familiar face in the DAYP family, Stanton has been part of the brand’s growth since its early days, consistently bringing both technical skill and genuine understanding of what actually works. His sets across Manchester have earned respect not through hype, but through delivery.
