Not Myself is a piece of my life carved into sound. It’s the feeling of slipping away from who you are... drowning in heartbreak, addiction, and the kind of pain that makes you reach for anything to escape. The first verse sits in that darkness, in the nights I tried to numb what I couldn’t face.

The second verse is the climb back... the clarity that came with getting clean, the slow process of rebuilding myself, and learning to confront my pain instead of running from it.

Can you fly? No... I know that's the point. But are you willing to do the impossible for someone, or at least try.

Technically the song already answers itself if you really think about it. In the beginning is the big question obviously, and the song itself is the response.

It doesn't have to be romantic, you can literally interpret this song how ever you would like.
Would you wait to see someone long distance like someone in the army, hospital, heaven, etc.
If you are in a relationship in some way, are you will to sacrifice maybe moving in with them, or even actually moving to a different part of the planet for love,  job opportunity, etc. 

There are so many things people are willing to fly for, they just don't know it.
