Razmik Makhsudyan, born in Yerevan, began exploring techno in 2010. After honing his skills as a DJ, he took his first steps as a producer and, in 2016, launched his live alias, Tøtal, showcasing the heavier, darker side of techno. In 2017, he founded his own label, Death Bell Records, and by 2019, he brought his sound to Boiler Room Yerevan, sharing his music with a wider audience.

This mix captures the atmosphere he loves, featuring several of his own unreleased tracks—ones you’re sure to enjoy.

This tenth podcast of the Elata Series features mchvlsm, a Brazilian artist based in Berlin.

As an immersion in a captivating forest, mchvlsm captures the essence of tribalism with fast paced bass lines and a feral atmosphere. A journey through his productions offers the audience a complete experience of ritualistic techno. A music that takes root in the nature that surrounds him, full of elements but stays true to minimalist but sharp rhythms.
With releases on MZRRecords, SYXT, Evil Groove or AUM Records, mchvlsm proved his unique style.

We contacted mchvlsm after listening to his EP on MalaNoche. The quality of the release, the style of production and the energy behind these tracks were completely in line with our definition of techno. We then been able to discover more of his work and were extremely happy to meet him, and it confirmed that his vision was incredible.
His music is completely part of what we define as Elata vibe, and we are really honoured to host his first podcast. This 90 min podcast is a blend of energy and style, and also the chance to discover more of his work.

Keep his name in mind, more will come.

Mysterious argentinian techno veteran Kølpos provides us with eleven exercises of music from the future in many different shapes. Starting with the compulsory beatless intro named Epiciclo, setting the pace for what comes next. 

Gravitatoria brings the beat in a profound style with a solid reverberated groove made of assorted drum elements and occasional drones flying over the evolving arrangement. 

In Metano things go asymmetrical and shuffled rhythmic wise, synthetic noises bring the heat as the track goes by, changing shape and motif, creating a proper hypnotic tool.

Núcleo increases the BPM rate while preserving the overall spacious feel of the previous numbers. Here the obsessive sequences are more prominent, drilling minds and bodies properly.

Morgoth is a slowed down interlude, with slow pitched broken beats and complex atmospheres on top, resetting the vibe to incorporate danceable action again with Gravedad en Superficie where the sound machine is at its full development with ever changing abstract sequences and a mental approach.

El Cementerio de los Elefantes keeps things busy, a no remorse relentless techno tool aimed for peak time action, as well as Tierra Firme that goes in the same vein.

Approaching the end of this soundtrack, things slowly go down to mental places with the deep and profound Terraformación and the abstract slice named Orografía.

Lo Impenetrable brings the spaceship to the homebase in the same style as started, an ambient epilogue with outerworld bleeps and textures.

Inducted Waves is the Spanish label created by PWCCA that has seen a lot of his own productions make up the catalogue since 2019, and has also featured music from Oscar Mulero, Dimi Angélis, Pyramidal Decode, amongst others.

Based in Leipzig, Oliver Rosemann introduces his newest EP titled Grime after repeatedly amazing with his stylish sounds that has allowed him to collaborate with Jonas Kopp the owner of TREMSIX, as well as Pfirter, the label boss of MindTrip. His solo compositions have appeared on prestigious labels such as Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, Grindvik’s Stockholm LTD, James Bong’s RAW RAW, and Bas Mooy’s Mord, in addition to his own Recorded Things label.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the leading track “Psyched Out” with raw and freaky sound. Modular ripples flicker the sound waves in this dystopian and atmospheric trip. The metallic clashes and tapping kick drum keep things on a tight groove creating a regimented ride of hypnosis and ultimately, a stripped-back tool, where less is most certainly more.

Crhistian Núñez AKA N7Ñ7Z Colombian Dj currently based in Valencia, Spain
 N7Ñ7Z is passionate about darkness in all its facets, atmospheric, forceful and punishing 
sounds that seek to consume the listener in each of its sessions.
 Influenced by DJs such as Morsure, SNTS, Skoden, he has identified himself in the Industrial 
as his definitive style, however he seeks to express in other lines and explore his 
characteristic darkness
 His passion for the scene led him to be co-founder of a collective called tympanum but over 
time he decided to create his own space called PLUR77 an emerging collective of the city of 
Valencia, Spain emphasized in strong, dark and industrial sounds

Two hours of pure fire - our set on May 18th at Tohhnzimmer was an intense ride through the depths of hypnotic techno. With 145 BPM, hard edges and driving percussions, we captured the vibe of the night and created a soundscape on four decks that got under your skin.

The room was charged - full of energy, full of movement. The crowd felt every drop, carried every kick. It was raw, direct, atmospheric - and at the same time a dream of sound and connection.
