Podcast section continues to grow, and today we have the pleasure of sharing a beautiful set that an admired colleague recorded for us, who has been helping us with the diffusion of our music from his premieres section on SXDNS. Thanks @celestinobr and enjoy his mixtape!

Brazilian based in Germany, Celestino defines himself as "just a dinosaur playing music for love since 1992". As a producer, he has released on acclaimed labels such as Emerald & Doreen, Nein, NUFF MUSIC, Quixotical, Maleante, and Espacio Cielo, just to name a few. He has worked as the curator of the rising platform Sexy Dinosaur From Outer Space (SXDNS) @sxdns since 2018.

Chinese born RUI HO (@ruiho)has been based in Berlin for the last four years, but even though she's built a reputation as an eclectic DJ, she doesn't make the formulaic four-to-the-floor techno you might expect. Rui's first release was in 2016 on Chinese label Genome 6.66Mbp and from the outset her sound was something totally unique. She referenced Chinese melodies, fusing them with energetic European club music, manifesting a truly original take.

Gefangen im Strudel 

Die Gedanken rotieren im Kreis und verbleiben doch auf der Stelle. Apathisch drehe ich mich von links nach rechts und dann wieder von rechts nach links. Um mich herum ist es dunkel. Von Zeit zu Zeit falle ich in einen traumlosen Schlaf. Dann schrecke ich wieder hoch. 3 Stunden sind vergangen, doch ich fühle mich trotzdem ausgelaugt und schwach. Deshalb liege ich einfach nur da. Ich versuche mittlerweile gar nicht mehr meine Gedanken aktiv zu beeinflussen. Ich habe mich dahingehend aufgegeben und akzeptierte meine miserable Verfassung. Wahrscheinlich bin ich mit meinem jetzigen Zustand einer Depression so nah wie nie zuvor. Doch in diesem Moment bleibt mir nichts anders übrig, als mich dieser Schwere hinzugeben und mich in den Strudel der Negativität und Passivität gleiten zu lassen. 

Der Podcast von Hools verbreitet eine melodisch-akzentuierte Atmosphäre der Hoffnung und Zuversicht. Jeder Takt wirkt stimmig und trifft auf tief schlummernde Emotionen. Die Frequenzen wirken aktivierend. Die Gefühle wollen gefühlt und gelebt werden, ganz gleich ob sie positiver oder negativer Natur sind. 
Musik bewegt und ist Bewegung pur. Danke für dieses Set Hools <3.

As we kiss goodbye to 2020 we shine the spotlight on Ali Riza Firat for the final Hostage Radio of the year..  Originally from Istanbul Ali Riza move to Vienna in 2018 and began playing many of the well known underground clubs in the city like Fluc, Celeste and Elektro Gönner. He is also a regular at Austria's electronic music station FM4 (Swound Sound).

When Ali reached out regarding being a guest we had to say yes! his mixing is top notes along with his tune choice! Heavily influenced by Istanbul's musical diversity, Ali tends to blend cosmic sounds with techno creating the kind of Groove we love! Kick start the new year cheer right here!
