Re-Release of the high acclaimed album “Virtual Outback” (originally released 2000 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 5-CD-boxset “Contemporary Works II”).

„Virtual Outback“ was just one single track: the elegiac 65 minute „The Theme: The Rhodes Elegy“, one of the most favorite of many Schulze fans.

The bonus track is from a filling work for the Chinese mass rally „China Millennium“ on the occasion of the turn of millennium  200/2001. After Klaus‘ delivery the Chinese government said: “NO – WAY”! First Klaus used the old Mao song, divided by cutting and transposing, and second he used an ethnic sample from Mongolia. That wasn’t possible too, due to the fact that Mongolians are a minority in China. The Chinese government stated: either you respect all minorities or no one.

Not only is Manjushri a bodhisattva who is representative of wisdom, but he also belongs to the trinity of family protectors. The family that he is known for protecting includes the first supreme Buddha – Shakyamuni. Of all of the known and recognized bodhisattvas, Manjushri is the individual who is known for having the closest association and relationship with the Buddha.
Manjushri Mantra helps the mind to be free from ignorance and heightens one's intelligence. Allowing clarity of thought and increase memory retention.

Richard Wagner could also have been part of these musical biographies on "X". Wagner is particularly close to me because for me he was the first to create a synthesis of the arts. For instance he demanded for a composition a separate theatre where the orchestra could disappear in the pit. Therein I see an analogy to the synthesizer. Here the actual instrument is also disappearing behind a few buttons – you're hearing very much but you don't see much. But Wagner was a far too tremendous topic because then I would have had to make "X" a triple album. For this reason I had chosen only authors – except Friedemann Bach – who had influenced me very much. Frank Herbert's novel Dune almost was a bible for me at that time! Bavarian king Ludwig II was, of course, no author but his life is a novel itself. "X" also was film music – Barracuda – I had the budget so I could afford an orchestra. However, it was really difficult to master the orchestral score. I can actually write notes – I once took also classical guitar lessons – but to write such a score is a different kind of thing. All that music I could have played within a day but on the score I worked for four weeks long. Cellist Wolfgang Tiepold was a big help since I wasn't that experienced just to say a violin can really play what I had written in the score. In the middle section of "Ludwig II." We had to make a tape loop for those repetitions. The loop reached out across the studio and the kitchen, and then we looped it. Because the musicians dropped their violins when trying to play this passage live for 15 minutes. The tape loop of course was – typical for my compositions! – 20 meters long, haha. The bonus track "Objet d'Louis" is a live verson of "Ludwig II." using a complete orchestra. I did that in 1978 because I wanted to hear how this track sounds live on stage with an orchestra. I was on tour and also performed "Ludwig", and in Belgium there was an opportunity to perform the song in that style. A radio station wanted to broadcast the concert live. So I asked if we can do that with an orchestra. Then Tiepold rehearsed it a little bit with the orchestra, and in the evening we played it and it was broadcasted live. Now you can hear it again on the CD.

Re-Release of Klaus Schulze’s “Androgyn” (originally released 2002 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 5CD Boxset “Contemporary Works II”).

The first track on “Androgyn” has again, like on “Another Green Mile”, the cello of Wolfgang Tiepold and some odd voice samples added to interesting synth sounds. The long second track has Klaus on electric guitar and for good reason it's called "Back To The Future": Klaus plays the guitar with a "Gleiteisen", a piece of iron that he used in the "cosmic slide guitar technique" from old Ash Ra Temple times, 32 years ago. The next four tracks belong together. "There's No Mystery" has a voice and the adequate and efficient cello again...and of course it has Klaus' famous string accord in the back; you already heard it on Another “Green Mile” and can hear it again on further albums. As “Androgyn” comes to it's end it gets more rythmic. For the final title "This House Full Of Shadows" I noticed at first listening: "Will be liked by the people". We hear again Wolfgang Tiepold's expert cello. (KDM, 2002)

The bonus track “A Tiny Violin” is a rare beautiful pearl from the 10thCD “Adds & Edits” of the limited wooden boxset “Contemporary Works I”. On violin: Thomas Kagelmann.
After the successful releases of “U.S.O. Privée” and “Another Green Mile” MIG-Music proudly lifted another nugget of Klaus Schulze. We will continue to discover further gems!

The Begotten is the brainchild of Jürgen De Blonde (Köhn/de portables) and Brecht Ameel (Razen), who initially performed a number of shows and released a CS under the moniker 'Kohier' - gleefully referencing the absurdity of Belgian tax systems and institutions.
On their debut LP "Temidden Laaghangende Wolken" they are joined by percussionist and improv-veteran Dirk Wachtelaer (Pablo's Eye/Vanishing Pictures), who locked with De Blonde and Ameel's post-reality continuum during a recording session at Les Ateliers Claus in Brussels.

In this new trio format, The Begotten weaves a stripped-down set of after-hours, trancey observations on keys, baritone guitar and drums.
Neon-lit bars are named Le Kheops or 60 Moons, streets are soaked in sheets of rain, people are staring at tax sheets and comets pass by unnoticed. Dub with tears; "Temidden Laaghangende Wolken" is the perfect backdrop of a strongly medicated game of Manillen during a 'Derrick' rerun.
