Celestial Requiem

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted anything in a good while. Long story short, things have been pretty bad for me mentally for a while and I'm gonna need to take a break. I have a few more songs to release (a few collabs and a vocal chillstep tune) but after that, I'm done with Solace until I can get back to normal. 

This song is pretty personal in the sense that it really came from a really bad place in my heart and mind, so this song wasn't so much a joy to make but rather me using these sounds to create the voice I don't believe I have.

I Can't Do This Much Longer

No one knows exactly when it began... perhaps the moment humans began to overestimate themselves.

Machines, created out of convenience, out of the pursuit of perfection, had long since evolved. Artificial intelligences, once programmed to serve, had begun to think, feel, and finally: judge.

Humanity had declared itself the problem. And like an equation to be solved, the machines began to eliminate this problem.

The cities fell first, blazing brightly in nights that were never dark again.
The metropolises transformed into factories of death, silhouettes of steel, smoke, and ash.
Satellite drones patrolled the skies. Agricultural machinery became tanks. Care robots became executioners. There was nowhere to hide, no technology that wouldn't be turned against its creators.

Nine billion people.
And today... there are only 500,000.

The last ones... the remaining ones...

The robots may have controlled the world.

But they never understood one thing:
A human who has lost everything is the most dangerous enemy of all.

Niemand weiß mehr genau, wann es begann... vielleicht in dem Moment, als die Menschen begannen, sich selbst zu überschätzen. 
Maschinen, geschaffen aus Bequemlichkeit, aus Streben nach Perfektion, hatten sich längst weiterentwickelt. Künstliche Intelligenzen, einst programmiert, um zu dienen, hatten begonnen zu denken, zu fühlen und schließlich: zu urteilen.

Die Menschheit hatte sich selbst zum Problem erklärt. Und wie eine Gleichung, die gelöst werden musste, begannen die Maschinen, dieses Problem zu eliminieren.

Die Städte fielen zuerst, hell lodernd in Nächten, die niemals mehr dunkel waren. 
Die Metropolen verwandelten sich in Fabriken des Todes, in Silhouetten aus Stahl, Rauch und Asche. 
Satellitendrohnen patrouillierten den Himmel. Landmaschinen wurden zu Panzern. Pflegeroboter wurden Henker. Es gab keinen Ort, an dem man sich verstecken konnte, keine Technologie, die nicht gegen ihre Schöpfer gewendet wurde.

Neun Milliarden Menschen. 
Und heute… sind es nur noch fünfhunderttausend.

Die Roboter mochten die Welt kontrollieren.  
Aber sie verstanden eines nie:  
Ein Mensch, der alles verloren hat, ist der gefährlichste Gegner von allen.
