In celebration of @groove-armada-1 's 25th anniversary of 'At The River', Sydney-born producer @logic1000 remixes infectious Ibiza classic 'My Friend' encompassing elements of garage, deep house, and her intensely club-oriented sounds.

"Remixing such a classic was an absolute honour. I have such strong memories of the vocal in 'My Friend' from way back, so it was really fun to recontextualise it into something Logic-esque," says the producer on her latest edit.

Or:la’s edit of ‘Me, Myself and I’ holds the blissed out melody from Beyoncé’s original whilst flickering percussion is layered on top to give it that bumpy, club ready sound. Harmonies flutter around the track in the lead up to a drop of snares and bass giving it that UK tint.

I’m a huge fan of this band, and of Michelle Zauner as a musician, and author, so I’ve had this one on my list to make, was just waiting for the right musical idea to arise first. I remember I made the drums on the train to Manchester in November or something, and initially it was just going to be some rolling minimal thing, then when I returned home I recorded in the bass and it fully changed the direction, now it’s kinda an anthem.
