HALLUCINOGEN is Simon Posford’s solo project, he is also in the popular bands SHPONGLE and YOUNGER BROTHER.  His Track SHAMANIX was initially released on TIP Record’s compilation YELLOW, the first edition of the Shiva series, back in Dec 1994.  It would set dancefloors alight with it’s explosive tribal, acid groove and became an instant hit and a seminal track in the Goatrance genre. 

In October 1995, Shamanix featured on Hallucinogen’s groundbreaking first album called TWISTED on YOUTH’s record label DRAGONFLY where Simon had been working as the in-house engineer.

Fast forward to 2022 >>> DOMESTIC and SPACECAT have remixed this classic and brought it a new shine with their modern production, but whilst carefully keeping the vibe and style of the original.  This has produced a monster of a remix that has been reigniting dancefloors much in the same way it did 28 years ago!  We at TIP are immensely proud to have released the original and now this fantastic remix.

Back in 1996, TIP RECORDS released the original version of Nick DOOF’s Goatrance classic “Mars Needs Women” on his album “Let’s Turn On.”

Fast forward to 2025, Japanese veteran producers of the Goatrance scene, Yasunori Matsuda (UNI) and Tsuyoshi Suzuki (PRANA), have teamed up to create a monster of a remix of this seminal track bringing fat, groovy production to go with the original’s classic sawing leads and striking melodies.

Their consistency is so good it comes with a guarantee. There is plenty to keep the old school fans of the band happy but some fresh new developments too which reach some amazing heights.

Rich, musical, psychedelic, delicious, full power, melodic, we think this album has it all. Best Psy album of 2011? Maybe.

In the mid 90s Sweden was introduced to a new type of dance music brought back from the golden beaches of Goa, India by an adventurous group of friends. Parties were held deep in the mystic forests during summer and attracted a fresh new crowd, enthusiastic for these innovative sounds. Among this crowd were two freshly graduated computer engineers who were struck with a profound fascination for this new music. 

This enchantment led to the inception of the now infamous musical unit 'Logic Bomb', formed by Jonas Pettersson and Johan Krafft, in 1998. 

Logic Bomb were set to blow up the scene in 2007 with the album Sonic Algebra.

And unfortunately on our wonderful journey we lose our divine friend Dennis Tapper. We have now finished mourning him and what we can do now is to honor him and let him live forever through the music he founded.

So, get ready to be blasted again... Prepare yourself for 2022!
The fuse is once again lit...
