Warning! This is one shot, pure improv recording with Fender Strat and Yamaha bass. 4 min lo0Oong guitar no0oOdle comes in "as-is" conditions, no "missed note" quibbling will be accepted, and "no returns" policy on the reflective thoughts it might induce ;) Now we done with fine-print .... I wish to grab a beer and sit in a far corner of your studio, close to the biggest speaker. See and hear your music in making. Here is mine.

Some good dudes and dudessess decode my music nickname PROck, as PROgressive Rock. To justify this I recovered this casual  Fender session. I know, it is only 4 minutes, not 20(?).  I try to find verse-chorus structure here - I wasn't able too. So falls under Prog and Art Rock to my understanding. Not sure if ELP, PF, Zappa or any 70's genre monsters would approve it .... but hey, that's what Prog is Progressive about, right? By no means attaching myself to the gurus. Full respect to Prog Rock and Art Rock branch, with Supertramp and 10CC. I have become "Comfortably Numb" with "The Things We Do For Love" ... "I'm Not In Love no, no" .... just "Art For Arts Sake" ... it's all "Logic Songs" for me, if you know what I mean ;)

So I exhumed this Logic Pro project from my Macbook, done years ago. Mixed solo, strum, and one more verby Fender lines with Yamaha bassline. Only changed the drums. I missed my real drum set that got lost in the turns of life (darn cheap, but way cool DDrum) Replicate its raw, harsh, solid & lively sound as I remember playing it. 

Other than that, I did not fix anything ... Wait I covered up one part! I got too much into the improv, moving around, dropped the glass of wine off the studio table, hitting it with the neck of my Strat :) It flew nicely!!! leaving red wine stains on carpet. Broken glass sound in the mix is fake, cus recorded guitar with interface. This is what you hear :D

To teleport to 60's even faster, when Robert Moog was inventing Model D, I played MiniMoog, Moog Modular (and other synths by Arturia and Korg). Played my blue Fender Strat to signify the times, when Jimi Hendrix was grinding his teeth over his black one. Pushing flowers to the guns with Electronic and Psychedelic Rock is still needed. Imagined all thru my prism of future Deep Disco and Indie Dance vibe. Drums and all prod done in Ableton Live, mastering with IK Multimedia tools.

Amazing Grace verdankt seine Entstehung einem Schlüsselerlebnis seines Autors John Newton, der Kapitän eines Sklavenschiffs war. Nachdem er am 10. Mai 1748 in schwere Seenot geraten und nach Anrufung des Erbarmens Gottes gerettet worden war, behandelte er zunächst die Sklaven menschlicher. Nach einigen Jahren gab er seinen Beruf sogar ganz auf, wurde stattdessen Geistlicher und trat gemeinsam mit William Wilberforce für die Bekämpfung der Sklaverei ein.
Die heute weltweit bekannte Melodie, die sogenannte New Britain, tauchte erstmals in einem Gesangbuch von 1831, dem Virginia Harmony auf. Sie ist pentatonisch und soll ursprünglich auf amerikanische oder englische Wurzeln zurückgehen, wird aber auch James P. Carrell und David S. Clayton zugeschrieben. Der ursprünglich zur Melodie gesungene Originaltext ist heute verloren. This is another track I made many years ago. I made it audio bin style by rearranging baselines and guitar parts from old stems from Blankets. If my recollection is correct, I might have reused parts of “Falling Off (The Precipice),” which is currently set on private. It has been sitting on my hard drive asking to be released but I have been telling it no, you need to be patient and wait. Once I finally felt I could release it, it sounded old to me, lol. So Wou-Wou and Wizardshoes / AKA Ill Dub came to the rescue. They resuscitated it, fed it good food, and dressed it up real nice, and now it is ready to go!

This music was made in approximately 2010. Blankets and I would record music late into the night in his smoke filled studio apartment while his cat, goon, would walk over the peddles. I  would haul all of my recording equipment, drums, and percussion instruments from my house to his multiple nights a week. There were lots of late night snacks. Good times.
