Don’t get confused on who-abducts-who. Never trust a Klingon. Analyze. Research. Reuse the Tech….. My deep PROCK-tology analysis of an alien material collected by Alien-Science M.D. Clubfungus, soundcloud.com/clubfungus. 
 Drastically dropped down Kurt’s 136Bpm to 124Bpm. Past year, I was looking for the newer spin in my prod and happy to release it on the Kurt’s track. The basic idea is even Deeper Electronic, Grooving and SYNTH-phony. Tuning into Slo-mo Disco, Deep, Indie Dance, Ska Electronica, also fancying Psytrance and Psybient, while curving all genres borders. 

Besides my Fender guitar, there is a tons of new synths/basslines the whole menu of Kurt’s sound preserved and reimagined. New drums for different, persistence of groove, featuring signature Kurt’s snares and rolls. Lotsa chopping, merging, re-pitching, reversing, alien-robo-voxing, synths/efx automation, panning, tweaking … you name it. Pretty much all of hte mad-professor tools, plus new ideas of PROCK-tology science are in. All resulting in year of learning from the best, since The Groove Surfer speaker cleaner and Martin L. Gore Featherlight remix. 

One more thing… It would be not Prock, who uses car-key-against-the-pipe bang in Depeche Mode remix, and not for the Clubfungus music-vibe-art, who makes whole track out of a Fly sound. I just had to feature natural sound in the mix. The “safety belt beep” and “engine revving” of my personal Dodge commute Saucer is there :) Sorry guys, if you’re driving and subliminally trying to reach out for your safety belt :P You do need it, so just wanted to make sure ;)

And yet, the sound of “Amass” is more than a combination, a hybrid of styles, but a coherent flow of dark rhythmic and experimental music that touches the conscience of the industrial aficionado. With a string of 12” releases and remixes under their belt, Serbian duo Boris Brenecki and Darko Kolar aka ONTAL are surely one of the most requested acts in the industrial techno circuit – which currently only seems to gather more and more momentum. Perfect times for an album with a timeless sound, a culmination point of traditions: “Amass” doesn’t exclude, it gives equal room to the minimal elegance of “First Sign” and the heaviness of “Improvidence”, upfront techno bangers like “Defeated Obstacles” or “Solidification” stand next to the IDM-enriched abstraction of the two parts of “Pareidolia”. “For Industrial People” is like a wonderful welcome gift for the HANDS crowd – and the fastest tune among the lot. Great big thanks to Bitzone for reaching out and inspiring me to make music with him. He has been very patient with my process and generous with his creativity. He is a real cool guy and I am lucky to get to know him better. Lyrics and vocals only come out of me if the music's and my muses can make love with each other. 

The cold long overcast winters of the Pacific Northwest Portland Oregon area and the current nature of my work have affected me differently than the Sunny California positive vibing Bay Area. About the project: 
Since I am traveling a lot and I make music all the time anyway, I had the following idea: Soak up the vibe of the place I am in right now. Infuse these vibes into a song that also includes original sounds I recorded at the place. Film what I see and experience and edit a video to the song so that you can be there with me. And include a little tutorial for beginners to show you how I work. Combining all that, I created the series "Traveling Musician". 

The first episode is about Tokyo. I strongly felt a juxtaposition of formality in public life and work and a wonderful and crazy nightlife with lots of laughter and openness. I also thought about David Bowie's albums in the late 70ies ("I'm under Japanese influence" - Blackout), especially the "Heroes" album, and how they used drum snippets and fills on that album. My drum programming is a little tribute to that.
