After his standout hit 'Yumi' on Diynamic in 2023, Notre Dame has embraced his newfound notoriety, touring the globe with shows from Tokyo to London, from Miami to Paris. Now he is finally returning to Diynamic with a follow-up EP titled 'Citizen 99'.
Opener track 'Soda' is a bright and hopeful but simultaneously melancholic piece, with catchy piano chords and a steady suspense build that is perfect for outdoor festival closing moments.
'FE3L' pops off with 80s influenced percussions and robotic vocals, it's like the ode of a computer coming to life and realizing it's being chased by other forces to get its power switched off, but it won't let them.
Title track 'Citizen 99' is a more clerical, almost celestial theme of bells and choirs which counterpoints with rough Atlanta-type rap vocals to create an energetic dance floor hybrid.
And closing off the EP is 'Love 404', bundling witch-house elements with auto-tuned and crushed vocals into a beautifully mesmerizing tune to close your eyes to.

Samet Gunal is set to release his latest project, Starting Something, an electrifying new EP that marks his debut on Kinetika Music. Known for his compelling releases on key labels like Innervisions, Monaberry, and Human By Default, Samet continues his creative ascent with a genre-defining collection of tracks, solidifying his influence in the electronic music landscape.

Starting Something features Gunal's collaboration with Dutch duo TWIINS, an act revered for their genre-bending sound and forward-thinking approach to electronic music. In addition to the title track, Starting Something also includes a compelling remix by Thodoris Triantafillou, a respected artist known for his evocative style and deep, melodic interpretations. Triantafillou's remix reimagines the track with lush textures and an entrancing rhythm that adds a unique, atmospheric edge, taking listeners on a profound auditory journey.

The EP also features SKWEAK, a collaboration between Samet and Cypriot producer Nowa (CY). This track captures a playful yet intense energy, showcasing both artists' talents in crafting intricate soundscapes and rhythmic layers that draw listeners into an immersive experience.
