My brain just blurted this out lol <3 sort of about growing up and making decisions and stuff but I won't lie its mostly nonsensical !

Little Glow

I'm excited to share my first song with live recorded violins and cello, thanks to the extremely talented duo at String Fever Studio.  

"The Music Box & Other Stories" is a poignant nod to my childhood and my mother's music box, which played "Waves of the Danube," and which I found completely mesmerizing.  That was my first realization that every song had a story to tell, and instilled a longing in me to tell my own musical tales.

"Smile" is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for Charlie Chaplin's 1936 movie Modern Times. Chaplin composed the music, inspired by Puccini's Tosca.[1] John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954.[2] In the lyrics, based on lines and themes from the film, the singer is telling the listener to cheer up and that there is always a bright tomorrow, just as long as they smile. "Smile" has become a popular standard since its original use in Chaplin's film.

There’s somewhat of a sense of mystery around this ambitious, literate outfit. Charismatic singer Louise Reid is the focal point, with songwriting partner and guitarist Brian McFie providing skilful garage grind and spiraling melody. Lesley McLaren has a growing reputation in her own right as a great rock 'n' roll drummer, and the band is fleshed out by Davy Irvin on bass and Fiona Shannon on piano and keys. 
‘Trocchi's Canal’ takes the beautifully crafted song-writing of Reid and McFie into another realm, a strand of romantic adventurism which is a precious rarity in these times.
