In anticipation of the No Way Back 10 Year Anniversary - New York edition on November 4 (http://thebunkerny.com/events/2017-11-04-he-bunker-it-present-no-way-back-10-year-anniversary-new-york-edition), we asked our resident DJ @mikeservito to prepare a studio mix that summoned the spirit of NWB. He recorded this in one take at The Bunker HQ last week on a standard set up of 2xCDJ-2000, 2 Technics 1200 turntables, and a Rane MP2015 mixer.  Like No Way Back itself, this mix is a celebration of the lost art of the late night Midwestern DJ.

Ketiov... Is Burning #34

This is a 2.5 hour vintage Techno mix I've just done. I digitised a load of my old favourite techno records from the late 80's & 90's, editing out all the crackles and pops, then mixed it in Ableton. I really wanted to have an archive of my old favourites mixed together seamlessly. On & off it took weeks! :)

The sound is mostly old Detroit Techno, a couple of Chicago Acid tracks, and some other of my stone cold favourites that I can't get enough of.  I would have played a lot of these records out back in the day, and also at my House of God residency.

I always considered techno to be the sound to the future, like the Sci-Fi of music. Thus the title is a summation of listening back to old inspirational records that used to give me visions of a distant future!

Andy Hackney is a music producer, club and radio DJ based in London with twenty show's to date entitled "Welcome to Hackney" under the belt on London's mighty Rinse FM featuring guests such as Mall Grab, Shadow Child presents Polymod, Loods, Tasha, DJ Bailey, 1-800 GIRLS etc. Playing an eclectic variety of styles such as ambient, electronica, acid, breaks, techno, house, post dubstep and a lot more with heavy influences from the UK underground.
With plans to release his first EP this year and to get behind the decks again in 2021 for some more fun in the clubs!
