As part of my research of sounds, chords and techniques I have built this fragment with a serious of arpeggios layered several times creating harmonies.
It's interesting how Soundcloud is representing a container of ideas which cathartically release my conscious.
I'd like to leave this fragment if you wish to take it.

A while back I commented on a track of Davide's (https://soundcloud.com/london-dc) that he'd accidentally made public while uploading for other purposes. I loved the track, a stripped down melodic bell-like synth piece. Davide got in touch and suggested that I mess with it to my heart's content.. Being a big fan of his work I jumped at the opportunity. 

The project I'm working on concerns the psychogeography of London, and the beautiful bell melodies of Davide's track tied in perfectly with the idea I was working with...
Peter Ackroyd writes about London past and present.. His conceit is that time is relative, and passes at a different pace in different locations... There are 'privileged' areas where past and present are overlaid, and, as Iain Sinclair puts it  'where peculiarly sensitive voyants can surf the vortex, move without constraint between historical periods..Time becomes obedient to the will'
Worth bearing in mind it's a conceit rather than a certifiable belief...Anyway, as a Londonphile, it fascinates me, and I feel what he means on a daily basis..the past is always present.

Steinway artist, Chad Lawson, decided Chopin needed a new introduction.  Along with violinist Judy Kang (Lady Gaga, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and cellist Rubin Kodheli (Kanye West, Norah Jones), Lawson has arranged ten Chopin works into a minimalist landscape.

It's a risk editing the "poet of the piano" but one that Chopin would be proud of.  

Taking 10 Chopin works, Lawson decided to scale the works down to a minimalist setting.  "I knew even if bare-bones, Chopin's works could still be as spellbinding as the original compositions we are so familiar with." says the pianist.

 I've always wanted to record some piano stuff and throw it out on the internet, but I don't have any audio recording equipment to record a live piano, so I've resorted to making random creations under this pseudonym: DNTST. I've got a MIDI connection and a reasonably sized piano keyboard and thought I'd try do a lil improvisation, hope ya like it! (****sorry if there's a bit of a timing error, it seems there is a slight latency problem between the MIDI-->Computer)

I think it's fun to sometimes get out of my comfort zone and create something completely different. I would normally not upload this on my public Soundcloud, but I'm just too curious about your reactions not to! 

I had lots of fun creating this "movie soundtrack" type of song, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Icelandic contemporary composer Ólafur Arnalds created and released a new song, one per day for one for one whole week during the month of October 2011. The songs were recorded and filmed live in the living room of his Reykjavik apartment and released instantly for free as streamed videos and mp3 downloads.

So I actually took out my MacBook and I didn't want to open like a proper recording program, so I just opened Photo Booth and recorded a video of myself playing the song so that I would remember the song. Barcelona based piano player and electronic musician Bruno Sanfilippo is a classically trained musician and composer who has been exploring the borders of minimal piano concepts and electro-acoustic music for more than 20 years. His CD series "Piano Textures“ sets him in a direct tradition of artists as Harold Budd and Brian Eno, combining slow piano tunes with electronic soundscapes. With "ClarOscuro“, he now makes his step into the genre of modern classical music by presenting his first composition work for piano trio. Most of the nine tracks on the album feature Sanfilippo accompanied by Spanish musicians Manuel del Fresno on Violoncello and Pere Bardagí on Violin, while some of the tracks still let the sensitive piano playing stand on its own.
