Matteo Ciccarone, better known as Sickarone, is a producer from Turin with a sound shaped by Jungle, Garage, Footwork, and everything in between. His works are entirely made on his hardware setup: an old MPC sequencing various drum machines and synths, allowing him to express his musical ideas in the most direct way possible. His productions are full of nostalgic, properly chopped breaks, tons of pitched and hypnotic vocals and deep subs.

In a blizzard of breakbeats, b-lines and acid hooks, Denham Audio have brought new urgency and vitality to the modern rave scene. The sound they’re pushing is rooted in the legacy of UK Hardcore, but those foundational sounds and styles are given a thorough spruce up, feeding into the buoyant areas of exploration happening between 140 and 160 BPM. Releases have been coming thick and fast, from early outings on Nineteen Ninety Four and Artifice through to a blistering run on WNCL, Frendzone! (alongside Violet), Lobster Theremin, Sneaker Social Club and more. Across these 12”s you can hear every shred of influence spilling out – from the upfront Hardcore and Jungle through to Hip-Hop and Reggae, and beyond the confines of music into Sci-fi and Anime.

A1. Kronplatz: Slowed down from the contemporary urge of super-fast tempo tracks, Kronplatz has a bouncy evolving bass combined with rolling drums for a trip that is ostensibly dark.
A2. Ocean Explorer: Late 90s techno attitude arranged with modern sounds, waves of happy dub stabs and swingy drums, evoking late-night head-down raves 9,000ft beneath the sea.
B1. Hondra B: Drum and Bass tempo with Jungle breaks reduced to their skeleton and combined with eastern percussion samples to make an explosive drum tool for pleasing the crowd with peak-time moments.
B2. Wrong Glidez: A statement of nostalgia for 2012 post Dubstep / Bass Techno; the deep sound of the odd-measure bassline works in conjunction with the 2-Step inspired drums to deliver a tribute to the club sounds and pushes the boundaries for 2024.
