Has to push her own wheelchair 
And the guy that collects stubs 
Is lighting a Marlboro filter 
The new ones in the higher class

They’ve been impaled by some pictures

I’m standin’ with saltines in hand 
And don’t like them at all 
Swallowing a piece of crackers 
This race will surely fall 

The waxed haired jerk from high school 
Has to think how he will explain 
That the hits in the gym made him forget 
That girls like to be called by their names 
And the one who just lost her grit 
Will put on another disguise 
Fairly made-up for a battle she’d win 
She’ll have her tears out of sight 
When the next wham is given

At this auction I went 
the prices were high 
and still there weren’t any items. 

The pawnbroker said:

It took me four years 
to love a girl and see my love 
transform into this box that I live in. 

But suddenly 
this shelter, this box 
it ceased to be fitting. 

Our haven is our hell, 
but hell is alright, we have god on our side at least. 

I curse the government 
cause the little boy is dead 
and the weapon is set and now firing. 

But my hatred won't grow 
without some brown leaves to show 
that not so long ago there was life around here 

And once we're there 
I'll stay the slave I am 
so you wouldn't know our haven is our hell, 
but hell is alright, we have god on our side at least. 

Than I woke to understand 
that no matter where you stand 
the chimes of the bells will make you feel sacred. 

That the fruits of spring 
and cold water from the stream 
will clean and revive and will purify you. 

And once we're there 
I'll stay the slave I am 
so you wouldn't know our haven is our hell, 
but hell is alright, we have god on our side at least.
