Christopher Cachero aka, "Funkshuay", was born in 1989 in Reno, Nevada. 11 years later, after living in various parts of California, his family finally put down roots in Las Vegas, NV. Listening and memorizing the lyrics to countless songs in his early years, he studied the art of rhythm and rhyme. Several artists inspired the spark to his fascination for rhyming words and manipulating the English language. Artists such as Eminem, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, and Lil Wayne heavily influenced the birth of Funkshuay. In 2008, he wrote and recorded his first rap song, and began his journey into the world of writing and producing. The process of creating music became his obsession, and he’s now produced and released countless songs across the vast spans of the internet. Today in 2024, he still resides in Las Vegas. Throughout the years, he's created a community and fanbase through his art. His most recent project, "Hangtime”, showcases his reach and capability as a growing and evolving recording artist. Still releasing and performing music today, his passion, drive, and creativity in the music realm is obvious and undeniable.
