Dense & Pika celebrate a hat-trick of releases on their Hotflush home with a display of mercurial melodic flair.

With all the hallmark analogue, dust-treated sounds, the record kicks into gear with the unpredictably lush piano refrain of ‘Colt’, betraying a level of sensitivity not normally associated with the boldly direct duo.

Elsewhere, they’re as visceral as expected. ‘Black Deep' a demonic workout, all kitchen-sink percussion and body-blow bass, whilst 'Vomee' cruises along a bed of sparse atmospherics, dub-indebted stabs and bastardised vocals. 

Rounding off the EP is their most refined work to date. 'Airless (Live)' recorded in one take with live percussionists, woodwind and modular synthesizers, exhibiting their latent versatility and teasing at the possibilities yet to come.

Label Boss is feeding his creature as usual to grow the Techno machine and catching the right vibe to amaze always the listener thanks also to the great range of producers landed on Analytic Trail. This time Markantonio is proud to introduce DJ Emerson, a DJ/Producer from Germany’s scene and CLR Crew that features a lot of productions released on labels like the same CLR, Brood Audio, Electric Deluxe and many others. He’s now landed on Analytic Trail with “Audiopot”, an original track remixed by Flug that doesn’t need introductions due his previous work “Drummer” released on the same Analytic Trail and remixed by Markantonio himself.
Original mix is a straight Techno track, made by industrial old school sound elements and rolling background synth stabs, the listener can drag a dark mood in the middle of the track catching the dub vibe of the drum tricks takin’ over.
Flug remixes “Audiopot” making a wilder version, dark bass sounds and atomic synth stabs are the engine of track, carrying on the listener in an hypnotic Techno dance trip.
Nice job from Germany to Italy, via Spain that’s the power Analytic Trail expansion in the Techno boundaries and not only, thanks also to contribution of the loads of producers always making an amazing work for the label environment.

<p>Ian returns to Tronic with his unmistakeable, melody-laden sound and kicks off this threefold affair with the mystical vibe of &#8220;Black Widow&#8221;. Beefy riffs take center stage and intricate synth programming elevates things to manic proportions while a chugging rhythm section combines with snappy bass to keep the groove going. On &#8220;Millennia&#8221; we are offered a more introspective approach, utilizing pulsating bass and nostalgic chords, with the emotion factor emphasized even more via bittersweet arpeggios and pads.<br />
 On the more optimistic &#8220;Lotus&#8221;, busy snares work their way around the subtle bassline and a firm nod to the Housier side of things is given, evident by familiar strings, filtered goodness and bouncy percussion.</p>

This typically bombastic three-tracker of explosive, crowd-moving techno opens with ‘U Said U’. A massively hyped tracks that has been the subject of huge fan-demand since it first featured on Beyer’s Drumcode Radio in January. However, ’Love Siren’ will battle it out for the most attention from punters, packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops this is one for the big open air stages. ‘Rumours’ wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies.

2016 was a standout year for Alan Fitzpatrick, with the Drumcode stalwart racing out of the gates in spectacular fashion with the release of his fabric 87 mix. A substantial amount of high profile shows followed, including appearing at the inaugural Junction 2 festival and closing the car park to a packed-to-the-rafters-crowd at Drumcode Halloween. He returns to Drumcode with ‘Brian’s Proper Dun One’, marking his first appearance on the label since late 2016 when he remixed Moby’s seminal ‘Porcelain’.

The release opens with ‘Brian’s Proper Dun One’, a track which caused a Twitter meltdown on Alan’s profile when he first started playing it at the tail end of 2016. Loaded with sharp and pounding drums, this is an ethereal experience from start to finish and packs a real punch. It’s a no holds barred, certified main room anthem. ‘Wait A Second’ feat. mc r1bbz has been a staple of Adam Beyer’s sets of late and has been getting a lot of air time on Drumcode Radio. This rave inspired track takes a raw, stripped back approach and delivers a real killer blow. Alan sampled the vocals of mc r1bbz from an LTJ Bukem tape pack from the early 90s and the record tips its cap to early jungle raves around the M25. The release closes with ‘Trance, Init?’; A homage to Alan’s days first and foremost as a raver before he became a DJ, with his non-purist attitude when it comes to electronic music shining through. The breakdown is sure to be a hands in the air moment at festivals all over the globe this summer.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave label has been busy laying down foundations for the past twelve months. The run-away commercial success of their debut single “We Do What We Want” was just the start, and have since been setting the standards.

The label boss himself makes his welcome return to the label this October, with Magnetic Dog. The original comes laced with slicing hats, crispy yet superbly deep thundering kicks and a cheeky dose of acid thrown in for good measure.

Alan wrote the original back in 2016 and waited for that special remix to finalise the package. Always a supporter of Marcus Intalex and his productions, under his Trevino moniker he delivered a masterfully deep rework, taking down the tempo and achieving a euphoric cut of the original.

Premiere: Alan Fitzpatrick - Colour Of A Dream

It doesn’t get much bigger than this: Adam Beyer links up with Green Velvet and Drumcode’s outstanding rising star Layton Giordani for a debut collaboration.

Some musical partnerships feel fated. Both fans of one another’s work, for years Adam Beyer and Green Velvet had discussed writing music together. In turn, Beyer’s protégé Layton Giordani had admired the Chicagoan’s work for as long as he could remember. When the 25-year-old found himself playing alongside the green mohawked legend at Belfast’s Shine, the spark and subsequent friendship was immediate. With the links now set in place, it was only a matter of time before the trio’s creative chemistry would manifest musically.

‘Space Date’ was conceived organically and birthed quickly. Propelled by Green Velvet’s trademark vocal hypnotism, the triumvirate combine to craft a pumping intergalactic slice of techno laced in melody that’s highlighted sets by Beyer at Awakenings, Ushuaia and also EDC Vegas when Green Velvet dropped it to a raucous response. The track is complimented by ‘Rome Future’, the product of a year-long series of productions between Beyer and Giordani. Deftly combining crisp drum work, catchy vocal effects and a powerful bassline melody that gives the track an almighty kick, it will be familiar to many who’ve followed their sets over recent months.
