Long Island Sound follow up their acclaimed debut album and accompanying remix EP with Don’t Let Me / Air; a limited white label release featuring 2 brand new dancefloor-certified anthems that signal a new era for the duo in both style and effect, while certifying them as masters of their house domain.

The Dublin-based duo of Rob Roche and Tim Nolan have made impressive strides as Long Island Sound for close to a decade now, honing their swooning dance craft via beloved EPs on their Signs Of Space imprint while becoming mainstays of their island’s club and festival circuit thanks to multiple acclaimed DJ sets. Last year, they reached an impressive feat that few Irish dance acts have before them by releasing their debut album Lost Connection. A 7 track opus that fused dynamic electronic sounds with contemporary styles of house, techno and breaks, it signalled an exhilarating new direction for the duo that showcased their exceptional artistry in melody and production and subsequently earned them great acclaim. An accompanying 5 track remix EP followed this year, featuring quality club reworks of various album cuts from producers Cromby, James Shinra, Mor Elian and Benjamin Damage.

Signing off on that notable era, the duo move swiftly on with this limited 2 track white label of unadulterated festival-ready house epics that have been highlights of their sets over the past year. Don’t Let Me glides along a chromatic world of lasered synths, pitched diva croons and shuffling pistons before a breathtaking swell of cinematic rave harmonics reaches a magnificent combustible peak that’ll have you gasping for Air. The flip cracks the window open, dialing down the frenzy with a magnificent swooning melody sits on top of a growling reese bassline and mechanized 2-step beat where a romantic ambience grows.

Don’t Let Me/Air EP is due for digital release on July 28th, with vinyl to follow on September 1st.

Having already dropped a potential ‘tune of the year’ with ‘Did This’, Italian DJ/producer Dino Lenny returns to R&S Records with another exemplary dancefloor cut, ‘Washington Street’.

An authoritative producer over the last three decades, Lenny has been behind memorable releases for the likes of Ellum Audio, Innervisions, Crosstown Rebels and the Fine Human Records labels amongst others. His inclusion of the ‘Did This’ track on the R&S album ‘In Order To Dance 4.0’ was a highlight and one that gained huge support from the likes of Pete Tong, Radio Slave, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon and many more.

Dino digs deep on ‘Washington Street’, flexing his house music chops on a highly credible club anthem that evokes shades of Chicago house and Italo Disco, delivered with a driving pace and techno sensibility.

Dublin-born duo Long Island Sound (Rob Roche and Tim Nolan) are known for their euphoric-yet-introspective take on electronic music. Toeing the fine line between emotion and energy, the pair present dynamic and dreamy explorations via their own imprint, Signs of Space. 2022 saw the release of their first full-length, Lost Connection, which Resident Advisor described as ‘glorious, heart-tugging sunset techno’. Following the success of their debut LP and a sold-out launch party in Dublin’s own Tengu, the pair embarked on their Summer festival tour, culminating in a standout set at Ireland’s All Together Now.

2023 kicked off with the release of Lost Connection Remixes, a heavyweight remix package featuring remarkable reinterpretations of Long Island Sound’s debut album by Mor Elian, Benjamin Damage, James Shinra and Cromby. This summer the duo moved swiftly on with their highly anticipated ‘Don’t Let Me/Air’ EP; a pair of unadulterated festival-ready house epics that have seen support from the likes of Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Tim Swenney on Beats in Space and Jenny Greene on RTÉ 2FM.
