I wish that I could feel the breeze inside my bones

If I’m always fighting how am I supposed to grow?

Take a breath, try to forget all that I know
Hear the air sing in harmonic ebb and flow

But there’s beauty there somewhere you know

I’ve been planting seeds for years, good intentions sown
Try again, another year and nothings grown
We overlook the roots that take hold

Gotta get myself on track
When did my foundation crack?
Is it broken beyond repair?
I’ll rebuild it from where I stand

I’ll take the clouds and turn them into something brighter
So tired of waiting up for a fuckin’ miracle
Do my best to put good out into the world
I just want to feel the way we should

Is it so much to ask for, some quiet in the woods?
Where I can hear my own thoughts and they don’t hurt me like used do
Am I chemically imbalanced, or are we designed to suffer too?
Or maybe we’ve created our very own hell loop

In the darkest of places, I’m still looking for a light
Even at my weakest, I try to do what’s right
Every night when I close my eyes
I tell myself tomorrow will be alright
