I try to make beautiful music, but if the sound I discover has a strange atmosphere, I try to think of a structure that can incorporate it. 
　Then I discover a lot of other strange junk-like sounds and mold the music that makes use of them.

I usually share quite personal songs with you . In a certain manner that s the case for that one too . But the one's who s talking to you here is an 8 years old Franky boy. Every time someone asked him"what will you do with your life in the future ?" , he just answered : I'll be a magician , of course !
The old guy just lends his voice and plays a few stuffs here and there. 
Of course this is not a "serious" song , but many artists currently post their summer songs , and i've never composed a summer song . So here's my first try !

A couple of years ago, while searching through Netflix for something to watch, we decided to try a Korean drama series. Since then we have spent many hours being entertained and moved by Korean tv and movies, often in genres that we would not normally go for (e.g. rom com's). The cover art and dialogue featured in this piece are from a Netflix trailer for Hometown Cha Cha Cha, a dreamy laid back romance set in a small seaside town. We won't spoil the plot by explaining the context or translating the dialogue, suffice to say it's very romantic.

This piece tells the story of the unrequited love of the little mermaid for the prince, who never realized that the little mermaid was the one who saved his life from the shipwreck.

Hey…. I missed you guys, your music, art, and conversations! Thanks to those who left me messages (Truly appreciated.) I took a long summer break that spilt into Autumn. It was great. Rode my old bicycle down along the river a couple times, and had to keep pedaling faster than the mosquitoes. I did some hiking in the mountains, old man style, carefully watching where I was going. I had fallen several times on previous outings, on slippery river rocks these past few years. So now I stick mostly to the trails, which I don’t really like to do, but realize that is where my age has put me. Most days I could be found piddling around the yard like a old monk, gardening and keeping the bird water clean, while laughing at and talking to the animals. After a while they get used to my eccentricities. Chickadees and Kinglets follow me around when I am watering. I think the watering stirs up insects that they feed on. Did some needed house painting. A couple decades ago, I had a second job painting apartments. I would leave my job at the high school, in proper dress attire and paint in those same clothes and never get a drop of paint on them. My wife at the time thought I was having an affair. Haha. She told friends… He says he’s painting but he never has any paint on his clothes. I tried to reassure her and even told her that was silly. Apparently she didn’t think so, so now I am alone. Ha. I also patched the roof and got a leak at the house seam that I had been trying to patch for years. I had a good visit with an old high school friend who I hadn’t seen in 50 years. Back when we were teenagers, he was taller than me. Now, when I first saw him, I saw I am at least a foot taller than him now. He was and is always an inspiration for me in life. After much grumbling about getting older, I am finally OK with being 67 years old. Sadly, I grieved for several people in my life who died. Tended the vegetable garden, harvesting all sorts of veggies, and stored some for the long winter. Collected all sorts of seeds. I even created some wild garden recipes, spending some well needed time in the kitchen. Later in the summer, I picked vine-ripened tomatoes for lunch, and grazed on apples and plums from the trees while working outside. I always leave plenty for the animals. After procrastinating, I repotted a bunch of large, root bound house plants. And I slept late while wildly dreaming… as some of you know, I appreciate dreams for their surreal content that often finds its way into my song lyrics. I also took some time to play electric slide guitar and sing outside on the porch, while working the kinks out of the slide sound and howling like an old hound dog. A neighbor asked: Was that you? (In a good way.) Some other neighbors were not so pleased. (Haha.) Anyway, this new home recording is a song I worked on recently. I have been working with my vocals to render out the course gravel tone and just sing. Gravel makes for great sounding Blues, but it really isn’t me. I have also been working on my rhythm guitar. (It needs it… haha) I am still learning so much about the music process. Thanks for bearing with me as I explore and test out these new ideas. We are not a cover band, although we do enjoy incorporating recognizable motifs and sounds into our songs as hooks to the past and a form of tribute to artists of the past.
This song is a shout out to Supertramp, The lyrics are a bit of a ‘poke’ at these so called ‘celebrities’ that got the looks, but little else going on. They even manage to write a book about their superficial lives…well…ok…they get someone else to do that for them. 
“Look at her body?” Hmmm…well we do, probably because there’s nothing else about ‘em. 
Musically, it was always about the keyboard sound in tension with the strings that called Supertramp - the band - to mind.

Painting: Frida Kahlo, Four Inhabitants of Mexico (cropped).  Frida pictures herself at 4, with a Judas, a pre-Columbian symbol from Nayarit, and a skeleton.

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self portraits and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico.  Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy. She is also known for painting about her experience of chronic pain. In most of her self-portraits, she depicts her face as mask-like, but surrounded by visual cues which allow the viewer to decipher deeper meanings. Aztec mythology features heavily in Kahlo's paintings in symbols including skeletons and skulls.  In the painting, Dream of The Bed, painted in the year of 1940, Frida expressed her feeling and interception of death, which depicts a skeleton on the canopy of her bed (as she had in her real life). Her husband, Diego Rivera called the Juda, Frida's lover, but Frida said it's just an amusing reminder of people's mortality. Frida Kahlo spent much of her life in pain.  As As a teenager she suffered a horrific bus accident which left her unable to have children and meant she needed more than 30 operations on her spine. Eventually her withered leg had to be amputated and she died at 47. She said in her diary: “Feet, why do I need you, if I have wings to fly”
