In terms of the creative process for this album, I wanted to develop new production techniques using only field recordings recorded in my area with modular synthesis and effects pedals while altering the sound with tape recorders in some tracks to add an even more lively, organic and random touch.

The story I wish to tell is the initiatory journey of a man of spirituality, Milarepa who learned witchcraft in his youth and who for an ancient revenge used black magic against his enemies. But driven by remorse and purified by the trials of an old sage whose disciple he asks to become, he succeeds thanks to the teachings passed on to him and to his life as a hermit, in attaining awareness. His journey has inspired many people over the centuries and hopefully continues to inspire a generation seeking mysticism and hope today.

The other little story I had fun doing with the titles of these tracks is that you can read the 6 names in a row as if they were one sentence, as a summary of the stages of this man's life and also to reinforce the fact that the album is to be listened to in the intended order as it tells a story with an established chronology forming a coherent whole.

ABSIS & Uranio Empobrecido - Espai Indefinit [Loop Modulator // LM001]

This is the first release of Loop Modulator, a new electronic label born in Spain, driven by NANO Modules synthesizers brand.

In this project the main purpose is to capture on vinyl the music created with modular synthesizers to promote the creation of sound with these machines.

We have prepared 4 cuts of electro inspired by outer space for this first Loop Modulator reference, made by the Barcelona producer ABSIS, and the founder of NANO, Uranio Empobrecido.

These two operators, regulars between electro and dub techno, have decided to join forces with 2 original tracks, and 2 mutual remixes.

Infinity (Saša Delimar) is a Croatian born, Berlin based music producer and DJ with over 13 years of experience in dj-ing, carving his name steadily as a music producer since 2017, first through releases in a domain of the deep techno and more recently taking the turn into the sphere of experimental techno holding on to the nuances of deep drone textures arranged with accentuated percussions.
To date, he has been released on labels like IO, Illegal Alien Records, Lowless, Lett Records and Oslated.

Saša’s chief preoccupation in music production is finding the balance between a track for home listening and playing in the club, equally embracing the experimentation of texture and composition and the rhythmical intensity of the club track.

In the short time since he lives in Berlin, Saša has already performed in renowned Berlin clubs like Suicide Circus, Griessmühle, Fiese Remise and recently //: about blank, taking up residency at Art Bei Ton.

Concept:
The world has its own soul; an idea embodied by the ancient concept of Anima Mundi, explored within multiple age-old philosophies. In the case of Greek antiquity, it is this very soul that reaches out to embrace and permeate all living beings, and things, ultimately connecting all as one. A universal bond.


In the first album to be released on On the 5th Day, London-based artist, Ben K (Anima Mundi) takes us on a sonic, 24hr journey through the eyes of the Anima Mundi via the beautiful, bold, rich and diverse landscapes of our planet. Seemingly separate to one another, but ultimately intertwined, like intricate threads of a tapestry; each unique terrain blending into the next; water running through rivers transforming into droplets of mist resting upon rainforest canopies...



... Separation is, after all, an illusion. 



Ben's album is informed by a short poetic story that he wrote mid-pandemic while reflecting on the concept of Anima Mundi, and inspired by Greek mythology; each track responding to one of the story's 10 verses. 'The Anima Mundi' (available on CD and digital) is his musical interpretation of the world's soul as it travels through the earth across a day- a bow to connection, nature in all its glorious textures, colours, and sounds, and the mystery and magic of life in all its emotional forms.
