Moin Kinners - man war das ne stürmische Überfahrt, wie die Wellen da gegen den Bug peitschten und uns fast der Hauptmast gebrochen war, ich sage euch: da ging dem Käpt’n mal eben kurz der Mut in der Kajüte verloren. Doch nach jedem Sturm folgt Sonne und vor allem auch mal ne Flaute - so liegen wir hier vor Anker und warten auf bessere Winde - die Crew vertreibt sich mit Deck-schrubben, Segeltuch-flicken und Kartoffeln-schälen die Zeit. Euer Käpt’n https://soundcloud.com/rolandson geht derweil nen büschen tauchen und schaut den Quallen beim tanzen zu. So tief die See auch sein mag; die Leichtigkeit, mit der diese kleinen und großen glitschigen Lebewesen umher huschen, die ist schon beneidenswert. 

So Schnorchel ich da so hin und her und traue meinen Ohren nicht, fein arrangierte Musik trieft auf tiefe Leichtigkeit und lässt nicht nur die Quallen tanzen, sondern auch alles um mich herum vergessen. Für diesen Klangteppich zeichnen die beiden Unterwassermusikanten Benjamin Landhäuser und Gino Raddant, kürzer und bekannter unter Landhouse & Raddantze (Lndhs & Rddntz), verantwortlich. Seit gut drei Jahren schwimmen sie auf den soundwellen der Meere und haben in diesem Mix ausschließlich ihre eigenen Tracks verwoben. Immer wieder haben sie euren Käpt’n in den letzten Monaten überrascht und den ein oder anderen Track zu seinen Mixsets gesponsert - also ist dies hier eine absolute Hörempfehlung und eine noch absolutere Freude Landhouse & Raddantze beim Seaside | Trip willkommen zu heißen .. also taucht ab, seid leicht und schwebt durch die Tiefen der Meere mit »dancing jellifish«, aye.

Heute präsentiere ich euch mit meiner Nummer 59 einen grandiosen Mix vom jungen Wahl-Berliner Iorie. Erst vor ein paar Tagen hatte er im Kater Blau sein Live-Set Debüt, das auf voller Länge mehr als überzeugt hat.

Musik war schon von früherster Kindheit ein fester Bestandteil in seinem Leben. Neben einer klassischen Musikausbildung kam er auch in den Genuss im Chor zu singen. Mit bereits 15 Jahren entdeckte er die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik und hier konnte er dann alles was er gelernt hat wunderbar zusammenbringen. Als er dann so alt war um die Clubwelt zu erkunden, war er dann auch schon meist hinter den Decks zu finden. 

Neben seinen Releases für Ritter Butzke Studios oder Metanoia, begeistert mich Iorie vor allem durch seine wohl durchdachten Podcasts. Er erschafft mit seinen Sets immer diese gewisse Stimmung die sich nicht in Worte fassen lässt --- frisch, überraschend und faszinierend.

Seit gut 1,5 Jahren betreibt er außerdem die Podcast Reihe / Label Serafin Audio Imprint mit einer grandiosen Künstlerauswahl. Auch hier darf man gespannt sein was einen in nächster Zeit noch so alles erwartet. 

Für sound(ge)cloud hat er sich auch wieder mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und einen Mix gezaubert der minimal und slow und doch treibend und groovig zu gleich ist.

For the third Holding Hands release they have decided to up the pressure even more with two ridiculous dance floor slammers.

Aunt Wendy’s Wedding In Wales is the sort of track that sends dance floors completely nuts. Breakbeat grooves and behemoth bass lines rock any sound system you choose to let it loose on. The tune is inspired by the sounds of Oblong and Plank records but don’t worry, it’s not just a throwback record. As usual Holding Hands has an eye on the best of the past whilst staring straight into the future.

I C Jangles is a collaboration between Desert Sound Colony and Baby Rollen (one half of Voyeur) The only word you can really use to describe this tune is ‘stinker!!!’ Somewhere between 2step, grime and house is where it sits, and it could fit into any set of those genres without a doubt. It was written on one of the hottest days of the summer and for that reason the background is littered with the refreshing sounds of the drinks being poured in the studio. Essential play for when you need a little hydration.

Both tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms.

Close your eyes, hold hands and experience transcendental space flight…

DJ Normal 4 is a founding member and co-creator of Aiwo Rec. Raised close to Düsseldorf in the Ruhr Area, a former strong and lively industrial conglomerate city. It is now a bygone and dead epicentre of German heavy Industry, full of dusty factory skeletons and abandoned industrial complexes. This harsh backdrop is evident in his productions.

One foot in the fields of the the glorious summer of ‘92′ and one in the ‘no future 4 ever‘ sounds emanating from Düsseldorf via Amsterdam to London, Lyon to The Hague today.
