With over a decade in the music industry, Mikayla Teanne, aka IN THE WORKS, blends her passion for electronic music with an intimate understanding of sound design and live performance. Known for her infectious energy and keen ability to read the room during her DJ sets, she constantly pushes creative boundaries across a multitude of genres. 

She has a unique soundscape and has performed at numerous venues and events across Portland, Salem, and Bend. As a genre fluid DJ, vocalist, and producer, her tracks span from ethereal and melodic to different heavier, darker subgenres.

Mikayla has been involved in choir, performed as a lead and backup vocalist, and has knowledge of woodwinds, strings, and keys. She has taken various sound courses including songwriting at Grand Canyon University, all of which have enriched her extraordinary musical journey.

From an early age, Mikayla showed a passion for music, recording vocals and sounds on her Nintendo DSI, burning CDs, making "mixtapes", and exploring digital audio workstations. Her long-standing dedication to music is evident in her continuous experimentation and creativity.
