Following quickly on the heels of ‘Strictly for the Ravers’ FreQ drops another dancefloor banger in the form of ‘Sub Marine’. Mining a similar vein at the intersection of Breaks, UKG, techno, and Bass Music this one takes a heavy bass line and welds it to a driving rhythm, interspersing it with stuttering techno stabs over top of a sparse arrangement that relies on the sonic impact of the mix to steer this deep sea vehicle to the drop. No one will accuse Mr. Nasty of being overly academic here - it’s just a sick banger with a FreQish twist, one for the dancefloor warriors. Bass line soldiers, salute!

Peter Paul junto a Sine Boy formaron a mediados de los 90 uno de los primeros grupos de Breakbeat en Andalucía bajo el nombre de Second Effect. Sin duda su sonido marcó una directriz en la época y algunos de sus tracks de aquella etapa se han convertido en verdaderos himnos del género cuyas grabaciones en vinilo son objeto de coleccionismo muy cotizados… Nos complace enormemente poder presentar este disco de vinilo homenaje a los orígenes del sonido Breakbeat en Andalucía bajo el mítico sello andaluz NMITY Sound desde el que Peter Paul operó a finales de los 90 y principios de los 2000. Para ello hemos trabajado codo con codo con el artista para recuperar estas grabaciones de hace 30 años cuyo resultado puedes encontrar en la primera entrega de la saga RECOVER. Outtime, Speedman, 3,2,1 y una versión moderna de Golden Remix, que Peter ha estado pinchando en los mejores festivales del sur durante muchos años, componen este primer disco de la saga que estamos preparando y que irá viendo la luz en los próximos meses.
