Brand new instrumental 'Bohannon Dub'. Hails from the lab of DJ Fitchie who, unbeknown to the bros, hit record while they were jamming in the lead up to a recording session. The title is inspired by Daniel Best's Berlin soulclub 'Bohannon' that he named in honour of American disco stomp musician, bandleader and producer, Hamilton Bohannon. Harsher, shook up and rebooted, the song features the haunting vocals of Berlin based producer Mt. Sims.

This is a slightly shorter edit of the track - the full album version of this song was also released on limited 12" vinyl through Warp on 12th December. The single includes two extra unreleased tracks and an instrumental that will not feature on the album ‘U&amp;I’.

Fun with funk and soul breaks. Result of an experimentation session some years ago to work out which breaks could be shoehorned into the same track.  Goes out to anyone that used to dance to 'How Gee' by Black Machine in the early nineties...still sounding heavy and fresh.

LOOP Select 005 brings a wealth of local talent together to celebrate the amazing artistic endeavours which have helped to shape our music, design and film industries into a globally recognized creative brand. Earlier this year we put the call out for creative content. The response was simply overwhelming, with contributions flooding in from New Zealanders living all over the world. From the hundreds of artistic, musical and visual potentials we trawled through, only a handful were selected for inclusion.
