Beyond that, rrrobyn also curated the label Through These Eyes Records. When I first moved to Bucharest in 2023, Caroline Polachek’s Desire, I Want to Turn Into You had just been released. Pretty in Possible instantly became my favorite song on it, with lyrics that merge the mundane with the absurd in a way that deeply resonated with me. I felt the city resonated with it too. It’s quite random and has nothing to do with the actual music heard on these streets, but now that I live here, this is still how Bucharest often feels to me: like muffled drums, abrasive and soothing at the same time. Because of that one song, I started listening to a lot of trip-hop from the 1990s–00s. I began collecting songs (in a playlist called woosh woosh) - starting with stuff like Massive Attack, Everything But The Girl, Portishead, Saint Etienne, and Madonna’s Ray of Light. Over the past two years though, this has branched out in all sorts of new directions. Here’s how it sounds now."

Wellington-based producer Zuke returns with a new rework from his acclaimed debut album Come Closer (Dec 2024), a fresh take on the album’s downtempo gem ‘How We Met’, remixed alongside long-time collaborator Dylan C.

Where the original drifted with haunting Rhodes chords and a deep, meditative atmosphere, the Dylan C & Zuke Remix drives the track towards the dancefloor. Lifting the tempo, the duo reshape it into a hypnotic organic house groover, with inspired elements of acid house & dub echoes.

This marks the first official release for Dylan C & Zuke , a pairing well-known for their hybrid live/DJ performances across New Zealand festivals and club shows over the past six years. The remix captures the essence of those sets: deep, melodic, and immersive, yet always underpinned by energy and movement.

Sanoi announces the release of his long-awaited new album Augenblick, preceded by the final single ‘When You Ready’. Out early December, the album captures a 19-track exploration in Sanoi’s own house-inspired take of downtempo, ambient and lo-fi beats.

‘When You Are Ready’ blends emotional depth with cinematic tension, with a soft, ethereal female vocal which drifts through spacious ambient textures. Anchored by dark, pulsing electronic drums, the track unfolds as synths rise toward a haunting climax - a moment suspended between melancholy and release.
