Nathan Haines presents a new remix of his track ‘Just Holdin’ On’, coming courtesy of one of NZ’s most sought-after producers, Christoph El Truento. Featuring the chopped-up hip-hop vocals from rapper Eo, the remix takes the track down a house route, while keeping the lo-fi hip-hop and jazzy vibes of the original.

Widely known for deep-diving into different genres, Christoph El Truento has gained acclaim locally and abroad for his unique takes on hip-hop, reggae, jazz, eletronica and ambient music. Classic Hits In A Reggae Groove presents the latest release from their upcoming album, a new imagining of Tanita Tikaram’s iconic track ‘Twist In My Sobriety’. Kingston Sound System have taken a re-recorded vocal from Tikaram and created a soulful reggae version of the classic.

A collection of Jamaica’s finest musicians, Kingston Sound System have taken the synth-driven original, and given it a new sun-soaked interpretation. The synths are replaced by horns and keys combining, with Tikaram’s breathy vocals perfectly complimenting the laid-back reggae instrumentation. A modern brooding vocal take from Tikaram lends new life to the recording, working hand in hand with a slower reggae tempo to the original.
