Rick Cheehy by day is a mild mannered grocery store manager. At night, he enters his top secret basement laboratory and becomes Rick Cheehy and the Six Simple Machines. NJ basement dweller recording new demos after a long hiatus

After fighting with YouTube for copyright even having the approval of the bands to use the songs. I decided to close my channel (JustGimmeIndie). Thank you all for your support and messages all these years.

Now I only have a Tumblr where I share the new songs I discovered!

All tracks  are recorded in a spontaneous manner typically in a single take. Most lyrics are also spontaneous improvisations derived from the feelings of the moment. We let the guitar and drums interact and the music just happens. Most if not all of the music is inspired from this interaction.

The recording equipment up until January 2019 consisted of a dated Fostex 8 track and a few microphones...We simply lay down a guitar and drum track and let it unfold the way you are hearing it by bouncing tracks. We just have to make music to live. Music of any kind, music that speaks for itself... 

In January 2019 recording equipment was upgraded to Logic X and a UA Apollo MKll Quad Core Recording interface...We entered a new building and still trying to find the light switch so bare with us as we keep lighting matches...

Loopooloo is an indie/alternative rock band from Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, founded in 1998. Adding synths to the guitars, the band acquired an electronic mood but without losing sight of the alternative rock influences that caracterized their town in the 90's.

After several appearances in festivals, compilations and tributes (I'm Not a Pop Star, Super Caldas da Rainha; Fragile 21; Perpetual Motion: Music for Carlos Paredes), in 2013 they edited their self-titled EP , from which "Lovely Mongol" is the first single.
