Sloppy, improvisational, expressive. You're used to that, right? There are things I would go back and change (if I ever go back) but this will serve.

Down to two strings on the electric again... started there and worked around. Attempt at healing, growing. Maybe it will do you some good too.

Mannequins Inhabit this Place

More often than not, music acts as a vehicle for emotions, states of mind, or capturing moments in time. Making tangible the intangible, and transporting a brief window into the artist’s mind to a final destination. One that lies squarely with the listener. From there, everything is up for interpretation. 10, 100, a 1000 different people each with their own look through the window. One common theme arising from those myriads of views seems to be an innate desire to find those tracks or songs that evoke a strong emotional response. Tracks that create ‘moments’ for listeners that are inexplicably tied with a setting and transport them back even years later. 

Bearing this in mind, we at Delayed are happy to premiere today, map.ache and his remix of COMA’s ‘A-train’. Much like the smoke that eddies around most of, if not all the Giegling parties, map.ache’s name is closely tied with fondly told stories of those ‘special’ moments. Where people are crying, hugging, overcome with emotion. Moments also coupled with comments like ‘of course it’s map.ache’, that aren’t uncommonly said with a warm smile. As with his past offerings, map.ache gives a bit of a raucous breaky kick to ‘A-train’ and finishes with his signature soaring pads and a melodic crescendo. Certainly, a track to create more of those memorable times for listeners around the globe.

If you enjoyed this track, the rest of the remixes will be out on March 6th, off of City Slang. map.ache’s remix is joined by Lauer, Panthera Krause, Sau Poler, Julian Stetter and Kino Todo to fill out an incredibly solid release.

We here at delayed are happy to present you with the latest release from the Lyon-based imprint Pomme Sanguine. 'PSANG Tales vol.3' explores the fringes of ambient, experimental, acid and electro realms.

The track we are premiering today comes from a super talented producer Discothèque Sauvage from Lyon who takes us for mesmerizing acid-sprinkled excursion filled with broken beats and lush synths.

PREMIERE: Discotheque Sauvage - The Vallay [Pomme Sanguine]

New! What, an adjective. Entirely subjective, or objective depending on your perspective. The harbinger of quality perhaps, or simply that of a flash of brilliance, gone quicker than the blink of an eye. New can be used for many things, however, today’s focus of an oft favorite adjective falls on the shoulders of Melbourne based DJ, and producer, Kia, her label, and a cadre of fellow artists. 

Animalia as a label is new in every sense of the word, and in every sense, the best possible. Much like her mixes, Kia has curated an intricate selection from the thriving Melbourne scene that ticks every box for a burgeoning label. A proverbial shot across the musical bow if you will.

Our shot for today comes in the form of Dashiell & Sam Brickel and ‘Run Out Groove’. Nestled nicely among the other breakish tunes of Animalia 001, ‘Run Out Groove’ provides just as the name implies. Grooves with undulating synths and flashy acid highlights, persisting throughout to provide a top tier atmosphere. We’ll be watching, with ears wide open here at Delayed for what new things come out of Animalia, and we hope you do as well.

PREMIERE: Dashiell & Sam Brickel - Run Out Groove [Animalia]

Unconscious by Human Space Machine is a great exercise in the subtle art of tension and release.  The track is very deliberate at slowly building up various sonic elements and letting the synth lines open and blossom.  Did I mention slowly? The track does stay true to its name and provides one with the feeling of slowly coming back to life from some sort of metaphoric slumber; starting muted and muffled and then gently "awaking" the senses one by one.  Did I mention slowly?

"Unconscious" by Human Space Machine is a part of the new "The Meaning of Time - Part II" compilation that is coming out on September 25th via On Board Music.

PREMIERE: Human Space Machine - Unconscious [On Board Music]

San Francisco-based Manjumasi welcomes back Vridian, a rising star from the Indian underground electronic music scene, for his sophomore release on the label, 'Strange Statistics' EP.
The release features two originals and two remixes by Gacha Bakradze and Tim Engelhardt. Gacha Bakradze, a mainstay from the vibrant Georgian underground music scene and our usual suspect here at Delayed, gives a nice twist to the title track and brings back all the feels with early '00 breakbeat nostalgia. 
Gacha's remix of 'Strange Statistics' brilliantly showcases a blend of classic UK breakbeat groove and melodic sensibility that will, for sure, create those special moments on the dance floor.
'Strange Statistics' EP is coming out on November 30th via Manjumasi.
