Eastern Standard Time (EST) picks up where Suite I (Indian Summer) left off, with the story of long distance lovers at a crossroad. Set in a dark and dreary Gotham City, EST tells the tale of SHE. Alana Belle (singer/songwriter) and KMTK (producer/designer) have known one another since before they were born. Their mothers have been best friends since 9th grade. Yet their mothers’ friendship is just one of their connections. Both share a passion for those vintage, deep album cuts. The B-sides. The records you secretly wished only belonged to you.  
Then there is their love of interludes. The 90’s perfected the art of the interlude, and Alana Belle and KMTK were both mesmerized by the tiny sections of music that left the listener completely enchanted. Hooked. 
So one hot ass summer day in Seattle, they decided to combine their individual gifts with their shared passions and The Loops For Lovers Collection was conceived. 
Loops for Lovers is a collection of musical suites, comprised of interludes. The music is carefully curated, and minimally altered to preserve the beauty of each original composition. Vocals and story add texture to each piece, creating a musical atmosphere meant not only to be heard, but experienced.

A xyster is a surgical instrument used to scrape bones. The Xyster Ensemble is a musical outfit. The ensemble consists of myself, but on good days I'm accompanied by (in alphabetical order) Oliver Dillon, Morgan Hendrickson, Louie Husted, Miles Kazemian, Brent Knowles, most objects, and the birds in my back yard.
