For podcast #152 it is our biggest pleasure to bring you the talented and much-loved vinyl-aficionado, Mary Yuzovskaya (Monday Off, System Revival, Semantica).

We adore Mary in so many ways and for so many reasons.

Commanding a space within the deeper realms of techno with a natural grace and energy we can’t help but find ourselves drawn to, Mary has dedicated the past 14+ years to nurturing her love for electronic music as a DJ, producer, label owner and vinyl distribution manager. 

When it comes to DJ’ing, her memorable selections and technical skills shine through time and time again, while her productions are an essential for any deep techno lover.

Mary’s outputs, no matter what form they take, all radiate with her deeply rooted love for electronic music - a scene to which her contribution cannot be underestimated.

Her mix for On the 5th Day is a deep and uplifting ride delivered in a way that, as per usual, had us hooked from beginning to end.

Another spring has sprung as we are back for the 62nd entry in our podcast series, this time with @Nemsb, a DJ and producer from Marseille. Born and raised in the south of France, Nahim Bendjilali or Nems-B has well over 20 years of experience in the electronic music scene. Whether it's DJing, music production, podcast curation or event promotion – he has seen the dance scene all around. With performances at @parallelfestival, @vurtkr, @tresorberlin, Gare Porto and others up his sleeve, Nems-B also has released music on @Oslated, Geometrika FM, and @on-board-music, to count a few.

Βorn, raised, and based in Patras, Greece, Alexskyspirit’s experience with the decks started in the early 00s in his hometown clubs and bars, blending his early influences of dark, progressive house with psychedelic trance. As he gradually honed his production skills and started shaping his musical identity, he shared the stage with some well-established names over those years, such as Edit Select, Keith Carnal, Charlotte De Witte, Dax J, Oxia, and Robert Dietz. His self-released and label-released material caught the attention of respected individuals from a broad techno spectrum, the likes of Amelie Lens, Joris Voorn, Abstract Division, Fabio Florido, Pan Pot, Deepbass, Ness, Claudio PRC, and Blazej Malinowski, who played his tracks on various occasions. Finally, this can also be a perfect example of how his sound shaped where he stands as a producer now.

his focus and sonic environments are weaved and led by his affiliation with the coldest season of the year, the echoes and the grey scenery during rainfall, the colourful and noisy urban landscape of the city traffic, and the impactful, awe-inspiring creations of architectural nature. His sound has a light, gentle approach combined with minimal elements of hypnotic ambience, distorted textures, and cinematic pads to conjure an aesthetically-pleasing yet deep atmosphere.
