Following on from 2012's huge Palua EP, UNER returns to Cadenza Records in May with a brand new EP.  Featuring two tracks (and a bonus digital track), the 'Nagual EP' delivers once more, with UNER very much at the top of his game.  

'Bonheur (Part 1)' is a definate 'journey' track, spreading itself out over 12 minutes with a booming yet sophisticated tribal rhythm, and infectious melody line and light keys that worms around the rhythm, ticking all the right boxes for a modern day house record.

On the flip, 'La Playa (Part 2)' maintains the energy levels, with a bright and urgent rhythm track, with gliding and random keys, percussive effects and melting synths all jostling for position, its discordancy creating the intensity and mood of this piece.

Pro Trance Drum Loops 02 - Zenhiser Samples & Loops

This is the backing track I put together for Buck 65, for his performance at the Knitting Factory NYC, on Thursday 18th December 2008. I had two instrumentals ('Indestructible Sam' and 'Blood Of A Young Wolf'), as well as bits and pieces from my own collection (being a sincere Buck nerd), and after some set-list discussion I went about producing this so it linked and flowed like a mix. It wasn't unlike the megamix I made in 2007.

I did a lot of chopping and editing, and replayed some elements here and there (some keys and extra things here and there), and added a few cuts in places too. It was cool to remake 'Pack Animal' as well, I love the orignal so much so it was great to make it from scratch. I wish I could have done all this in person at the show but it was impossible unfortunately - I saw some footage though and Buck totally smashed the heck out of it. Unbelievable.

It's a pretty comprehensive set right there, and this is just the instrumental. It was a one-off performance, but I thought it might be nice to have the music up here just to prove it existed! Our studio isn't a shiny top of the range outfit, its a smoky grimy working unit that is filled with old records, old keyboards and new ideas. We exclusively use MPC's and valve based compressors/limiters for all of our samples plus we have been known to use The Alchemists favourite toy, the ASR10, to give you that genuine "Hip Hop Sound".
