This record is an extension of a foray into trance ritual music.
It's structured as a companion for film, meditation, vision seeking & sound rest.

It's by nature a nature worship record, combing acoustic percussive improvisation, sensory foley, vocalized staccatos, and a specific brew of physical/metaphysical sound relations....mind hush/thought flush/spirit rush/sun rise.

Inspired by an initiation ceremony of the Bwiti/Fang people of Gabon. This collection relays a fragmented branch of timings of this ceremony. Plus proposes alter paths for the sacred (Mougongo) instrument.

Recoded + Restructured + Reflected as a time capsule.

With fullest respect/blessings to breeze the Bwiti understandings through current climate.

Production duo Denny Pally emerge from the depths of Glasgow's East End with their debut EP 'Us Against The World' on Crash Reserve's brand new sister label Infinite Wisdom.

'Us Against The World' represents a collection of lost and found Dennistoun studio jams circa 2018.

With the aid of modern P2P protocol, Denny Pally purposefully restored a mix of House, Boogie and Techno influenced jams in a foolhardy display of 'Jack of all trades, Master of none'.

Hacking through the undergrowth and forgotten sub-directories we reclaim these treasures and present them to the new world.

Besides beeing a part of Pierre Grasse and resident DJ at Charles Bronson, FM Pause is also the founder of Mindstrech, a event series that focuses on electro and uk sounds but sometimes also goes beyond that with live shows from ambient to jazz. While live shows and clubbing were on hold for the most part of the last year, he played some guest mixes for @radio80000, Waldbrand or @inchbyinchdistribution and was also a part of the @tarmac-festival. Last December he released his first EP »Solarium Sports Club« via Bandcamp which offered three tracks exploring different sounds of uk bass.

We also caught up with her for lil chat, listen and read below.

AM: We’re really big fans of your NTS show, what’s the inspiration for it each month and is there a theme you try and convey? 

Thanks a lot! I don't really have a theme necessarily even though subconsciously I say I will every time but doesn't happen

My inspiration usually comes from my day-to-day, I see the mixes as a sort of creative output and playlists that I imagine people listening to while cooking, drinking or chatting. I try to set a mood a bit more than a theme. 

AM: It’s a bit of a weird one at the mo but what have you been up to recently? 

I am a postgraduate student so the university takes up most of my time so that and (still) adapting to online learning


AM: We loved the More Time EP a couple years back, was that a long time in the works? How did you get into producing? 

I got into producing a couple of years after moving to the UK, I started getting into bass and techno and wanted to explore blending Saudi drums with dance music.


AM: Where & how did you record the mix & what was the idea behind it?

At home with my old radio CDJs. I had a look at the podcast series and seeing that it was mostly dance music I kind of got excited to play that too because I never do it on NTS. 

AM: Out of music what are your interests? 

I have ADHD so I have a lot of interests, but mostly within academia and non-fiction writing.

AM: Whats next for ya in 2021? 

Recovering from 2020 :)
