Unexpected Items, fire off their first show of the year. In the first hour, Cat Curl, previously seen on mixes for I Love Acid and for WGD Maestro Placid, lets us in on her vast vinyl collection of acid, Detroit techno and fresh prog.

In the 2nd hour, Manchester based DJ/producer Kalani taps into the deeper side of his collection, containing a healthy selection of breakbeats, house, a touch of ambient and a few more dance-floor oriented tracks thrown in for good measure. Alongside producing and djing, he is a resident and co-runner of the Manchester collective LIGHTSPEED who have been making a name for themselves over the last two years by hosting epic parties around the city
