Integral component of the "Winter Particles 2014" compilation at the turn of the year, Rise And Fall shone brightly with "The Vision". Providing an impact on Luke Porter's Temporum imprint in April 2013, over a quarter-of-a-century of production credits have hit the likes of Monster Tunes, Bonzai Progressive and James Warren's Visceral, to dynamic effect. Now, the deep bouncing groove and strong percussive rhythms of the original return for a full release alongside a pair of remixes from Kazakhstan and Sweden.

The world of LoQuai, as inhabited by Konstantin Alt, is a modern day underground phenomenon. Purveyor of considered and articulate dance music, his incipient artistic and creative talents as music producer ran in parallel with schooling in the art of carpentry. Later travelling to Frankfurt to study at the SAE school, his career rose rapidly after graduating in Electronic Music Production. The word 'prolific' was invented specifically for LoQuai: almost 700 production credits sit proudly next to his name with a quality and originality that has seen his music signed to Electronic Tree, Stellar Fountain, Jetlag Digital and well over 100 tracks with Mistique Music.

With remixes of BiG AL, Ad Brown & Andrew Benson already under his considerably sized belt, LoQuai's own offering, "The Native Language", from the "Spring Particles 2014" compilation, has recently seen its own release with a trio of new remixes. Now LoQuai delivers a typically impressive reworking of "The Vision". Full of rhythmic poise, clever use of themes inherent in Rise And Fall's final movement arpeggio form the backbone of his remix. Anchored in perfect synchronicity with percussive groove, the track evolves with consummate ease surrounded by hard-edged synth sounds to supreme effect.

Out of the quartet that comprised the original make-up of the Swedish outfit, Inkfish, either Andreas Hermansson or Mattias Lindblom currently form the production kernel. A history within the dance music industry stretching back to 1996 has seen the Inkfish sound "slowly emerging of textural substance from seemingly primordial depth". Using their own Inkfish Recordings as a vehicle for their work, over 250 production credits have found their way on to the label, while work for Bedrock, Parquet and Baroque has demonstrated appeal within the wider industry. Multiple top 10 Beatport hits in a variety of genres sit proudly next to their name, as does a coveted number 1 spot.

A clutch of remixes for Particles that has seen Inkfish rework artists including Asten, Verve and Sed Project, has led to much success, while a pair of remixes for Jorg Murcus started 2014 off in style. Turning their attentions to Rise And Fall, the Inkfish remix of "The Vision" (produced by Hermansson) is typically innovative: soft shakers pan gently across the stereo spectrum in dynamic fashion as a deep bass taps out a cavernous groove. A strong lead-line full of delayed glory and unsuspecting progression then weaves an uninhibited path over a strong beat to thus create a work of impressive ingenuity.

A clear line of sight prevails as LoQuai and Inkfish provides "The Vision" of Rise And Fall's future.

Following on from the globally-impactful “Cramp” EP courtesy of EdOne, John Digweed’s esteemed Bedrock imprint welcomes Titan International’s Philipp Straub and innovative musical unit Outcome for the latest addition to their distinguished back-catalogue. Featuring a bonus remix from Kadosh, Straub and Outcome’s collaborative “Lyra” EP is out now across all streaming platforms, including the Bedrock Bandcamp store.


Opening with the title track, Outcome and Straub employ crisp militant percussion from the outset, filling the space with a heady and hypnotic motive that sets the tone for this 4-track offering. Industrial hits and an eerie high-pitched synth invade the serenity with purpose and are subsequently mirrored in the break’s bass line for a definitively euphoric experience. Outcome’s solo “Hayal” plays next, featuring all of the unique sound design elements we’ve come to crave from the Croatian outfit. Flaunting groove-inducing percussive rhythms, the duo introduces an ambiguous vocal motif that oozes middle eastern flair. The EPs final original cut “Modular” is another collaborative effort that follows in the footsteps of its predecessors. Laying a foundation of clean, sharp percussion, Outcome and Straub weave soft mechanical detailing and cosmically charged synth riffs into their cut, lulling the listener into a state of sonic bliss. Closing out the EP, Tel Aviv’s Kadosh offers his perspective on “Modular”, crafting an experimental re-work that celebrates the acute intricacies of its counterpart. All 4 chapters of the "Lyra" EP have been tried and tested on John Digweed's Transitions radio show and Bunker Sessions, striking a chord with his dedicated fan base across the globe. 

Spear-headed by label boss and dance music legend John Digweed, Bedrock continues to push the boundaries of their output, channeling the authentic perspectives of both established and upcoming talents. In doing so, the imprint is navigating a new and diverse path for the electronic music scene that celebrates innovation and originality, with “Lyra” serving as yet another stellar example of their tenacity to promote meaningful and dynamic techno that leaves a lasting impression.

Konstantin, better known as LoQuai, showcases his talent and dedication for the music through his exceptional productions and careful music selections. Growing up in Germany, Konstantin started really diving into the music in 1998. His combination of psychedelic, trance, breaks, and drum & bass elements combined to create true a progressive sound. Since his first release in 2005, he has released original tracks and remixes on over 70 labels, with many of the tracks released under Mystique Music.
After several busy years deep in creating new music, LoQuai have launching the new show “Unison” on Frisky Radio. With his experience combining multiple elements to become one creative masterpiece, LoQuai’s Unison will truly live up to its name. The best music, carefully and passionately entwined to create one amazing experience.
